Taj Corbett Resort and Spa Uttarakhand

"Hi. We booked the Taj for one night (thankfully) for the 25th of June. We had plans to move to JW Marriott either ways the next day for our kids. Anyways, as we checked in everything seemed alright. Nothing too great. Staff seemed a bit average. Our room was great. No complaints on that. We headed for a meal to their treetop all day dining restaurant, firstly, no staff greeted us or approached us in. We sat on a table and then waited for someone to take our order. A Server called yogendra came about. No smile on his face, never greeted us. We asked him for the menu of the thai restaurant, it took him about 20 minutes just to bring that. Instead of informing us that their so called tablet for the menu was out charge, he just had us waiting. Instead we ordered a mapo tofu and rice. The mapo tofu was terrible. Diced up little tofu pieces in a soup broth. My husband ordered a veg yellow curry which tasted more like Kadhi. The food was terrible. My son (3 year old) and my husband and I went to their bar and grill. We told the server Mr deepak too reserve a particular table that we wanted and that we would come after 1 drink. We ordered a whiskey sour which was purely pineapple juice. Absolutely horrible. My husband then asked for a margarita and we ordered a margherita pizza for our son. It took them more than 40 minutes to get my son’s margherita pizza that too after I approached them and asked them what’s going on. The pizza came which looked absolutely worse than anything. It was inedible and my son just couldn’t eat it. Even stand alones or dhaabas give better food. To top it up my margarita drink never even came as the bartender forgot !!’ Top it up, Mr deepak without informing us gave our table away. We went back to our room as our son was exhausted, hungry and sleepy. We had no way but to just get to our room and order in room dining. The cherry on the cake, my infant and my nanny were in the room where I had ordered a burger for her more than 2 hours ago. As I came back, it came to my notice that her burger never arrived ! On calling room service the person casually said it was a miss communication. While we left the restaurant, no manager or staff member even once apologized to us. We called up the front desk, complaint as our Son was going off to sleep hungry without having any dinner. Low behold they got the burger, fried rice in 5 minutes but the food was so bad. This is really not Taj hospitality. We’ve stayed at many Taj properties before but never faced such an issue. Their staff is terrible and given no training what so ever. The F & B neeeds a full change of chefs and service staff. Never had a worst experience in my life !!"
