Travelodge by Wyndham Nanaimo ★★
"Perfect hotel for a family stay. The hotel is clean and the bedding is comfortable."
Sea Edge Beachside Hotel ★★★★
"I would describe myself as a “non-guest” as I reserved and booked here, thinking it was a dog-accepting hotel. But at checkin, there was a sign “no dogs in rooms” - so I was in a quandary. When I iexclaimed at my confusion and error, the receptionist was totally cool and maximum helpful - he called a sister hotel, transferred my reservation and payment to them, pre-checked me in, and never broke a swear, just “happy to help ma’am. “ Great service! Excellent staff! Thanks so much!"
Painted Turtle Guesthouse ★★
"Right in the middle of town, excellent location! Quick access to public parking and eateries. Friendly front desk staff. Free towels! Large kitchen, multiple fridges. I had a great time here, for 3 nights! Will stay again!"
Ramada by Wyndham Nanaimo ★★
"We only book this hotel after we got off the ferry. We were glad that we came to this hotel when there were only a few rooms left in two hotels nearby. The room is spacious with a balcony. We can enjoy the sunset view here. The noise from the main road was a bit noisy. In the first night we had the air conditioning on, but it was a bit noisy. Then we turned it off, somehow the noise from the road was still acceptable. The service at front desk was great. We booked the room only minutes before we checked in and the check in was very smooth and quick. We extended one more night before midnight, and the transition was very easy. We can stay in the same room. The deposit can be transferred for the 2nd night by filling one more paper. The bathtub was spacious for two people, but it doesn’t have light there, so it’s a bit dim. The shampoo and shower gel given were Dove, only the tooth brush and paste were not provided. There was a TV in our room with a TV box, but we didn’t use it. As we watched our own movies on our iPad. The only downside was the breakfast provided limited choices with only sausage patty, omelettes with cheese, cereal with milk, drinks from the coffee machine and fruits. And we used the laundry on site. They charged CAD4 for washing without providing a detergent, another CAD4 for drying clothes. I think it’s overcharged. We felt safe staying in this hotel, although we didn’t ask for the room cleaning, but the cleaner still came when we were out. Nothing was found missing. Only the bathroom towels and the tissue box were replaced with new ones. The car park here is free to use, no need to reserve."
Courtyard Nanaimo ★★★
"Very clean and excellent receptionist. Excellent services"
Best Western Dorchester Hotel ★★★
"Wonderful service and harbour location!"
The Beach Club Resort — Bellstar Hotels & Resorts ★★★
"Great overall. Parking is a little wonky for the people just got there."
Inn on Long Lake ★★
"Staff greeted us very nicely. The location was nice and relaxing. For amenities, barbecue is not open which we looked forward to have smores. But everything else is okay."
Quality Inn ★★
"New hotel! Clean room. Situated in downtown area. Secure parking."

Qualicum Beach Ocean Suites
The Tide's Inn
"Good service, clean room and free upgrade without additional costs."
Buena Vista by the Sea
Pacific Shores Resort & Spa
"The room looked absolutely nothing like pictures with an old dingey carpet and a tiny 28" TV. The fridge was broken and propped up on one corner with a stack of broken tiles to try and stop some of its wobblyness. The "private ocean view balcony" was instead a view of the trail to the children's park instead. The jacuzzi tub looked like the jets hadn't been cleaned in ages and were so black with mildew, neither my wife nor I thought it to be hygienic enough to use. The location itself was convenient, though, and was just a short walk to the beach."
Hotel Feng, BW Signature Collection
"it is clean, but the service is fair"
Qualicum Beach Inn
"The hotel is clean, is located on the water and staff make you feel welcome. The restaurant has a beautiful map and the price quality ratio of the dishes is fine."
Riverside Resort & RV Park
"Single House with two beds and one sofa bed. Near the beach and easily to find the place. The room is nice, it is good for family trip to Parksville area."
Bayside Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection
"Nice hotel , only downside was indoor pool and spa were under renovation which we were not notified of beforehand, one of the main reasons for booking"
Gibralter Rock Ocean View B&B
Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort
"The bedroom is very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very courteous and efficient. The breakfast was delicious and inexpensive."
The Hobbit on Canopy Ridge Gabriola
Diplomat Motel
"Although I requested room cleaning service in the morning, they didn’t do anything. Hence, I called the front desk around 5PM, and then he said it’s busy, so no time to do cleaning. If I didn’t call, I think I couldn’t even get a new towel. Also the homeless people walk around the parking lot and make noises."
Casa Grande Inn
"Very clean and comfortable room, very nice sea view from window as well as balcony. Very smart check in method for both guest and receptionist! Communication by email with guest is also very helpful!"
Crown Mansion Boutique Hotel & Villas
"Our villa (condo) was huge, bright, spotless and very well appointed. WE appreciated the attention to detail such as the welcome note and goodies basket. Lovely soft linens - very comfortable bed and, although we didn't use it a well stocked kitchen. The location is perfect, close to the ocean and a 3 min. drive to Qualicum village. The manager Michelle was vey helpful and pleasant. Some small issues should be addressed. The shower could do with some liquid soap and attention to the blinds in terms of ease of opening and closing them would be appreciated. Also, the TVs and boxes should be updated."
Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort
"The location is convenient, the environment is nice, and the facilities are complete, making it a good choice for a family vacation. However, I have a few complaints: First, the cleanliness is not good enough. There are yellow stains around the toilet, the sofa is covered in dog hair, and the curtains are bright even before 4 pm. Also, check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Is this charging for 24 hours when it's only 18 hours?"
