Madaket surf beach is a 10 minute bike ride or a five minute drive, it has spectacular sunsets and it's also good for surfcasting and long walks. We provide six Tommy Bahama beach chairs, two beach umbrellas, beach towels and a cooler for your days on the beautiful beaches. Long Pond is a tidal pond system that is located five minutes from the house, it is a large intertidal water system and there are two nearby access points to this pond where you can enjoy the beautiful views, or also take the kids crabbing. The Nantucket Regional Transportation System has a stop approximately a two minute walk from the house. You can take the van all over the island, the schedules are listed on the internet at; nrtawave.comWe are also a one minute bike ride from the Nantucket bike path. Nantucket has a network of bike paths that go virtually all over the island. You can ride to the east end of the island have lunch and take the Nantucket regional transportation system home if you're too tired to ride back, they have bike racks on the front of the vans.
