The Glacier Hotel Nanyuki ★★★★

"Located in Nanyuki Town, the hotel is a large block with more then enough free parking. The reception is friendly and check-in was reasonable quick. The standard room however, is small, even for "standard". You can barely move around the (small double-) bed and one can't turn in the bathroom. It wasn't really clean and the view, at the back, is on right in the room of the nextdoor neighbour. You have to close the curtain to get some privacy. The breakfast is reasonable and the staff there is helpful and attentive."

"The hotel representatives said they didn't have an account on trip.com, they didn't get this money. However, I was settled without any extra payment and provided the promised breakfast. The room was twisted, but everything worked, there was warm water. The windows went out on the street, the weekend night was noisy."

"Would be a wonderful haven of tranquility if it wasn't for the dreadful pounding music at full blast. The spa was great with Catherine an amazing masseuer. It's not luxurious but nice , with a bit of attention it could raise its standards. Staff are very friendly and helpful "

"Pros: Lovely food and flowing Pool Good service Cons: The place is a constant night club with music playing right outside your window day and night! Not quiet at all. NB: Ask to see the room first, they're some that have unfinished bathrooms."

"The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable, I enjoyed my sleep through the night. The staff were friendly and always ready to serve. The place has great ambience and is very therapeutic, with sounds of birds in the morning you feel at peace while there. It was a bit of a distance from the road but it was a worthy visit."

"Wooden Knee Cottages is a hidden gem in Nanyuki. The cottage was spacious, with readily available warm water and excellent cleanliness. Amenities include a fridge, Wi-Fi, TV, a basic kitchen with an oven, stove, and microwave, as well as a children's playground and firepit. The friendly owner speaks excellent English. The property is also located within a fenced area, offering a quiet neighbourhood experience. A high value property. These are a view things to consider when staying here. It is located away from the main road, making it more accessible with your own car. Not a problem for us. Food is not available on site, but given the kitchen available, cooking our own meal is possible."
