Hotel SNÖ Mont Romies ★★
"We canceled our stay within the free cancellation period. It's been 27 days now, and we haven't received a refund. We've had to go in person, but to no avail. Of course, we're taking the appropriate legal measures."
Hotel Vilagaros ★★★★
"What a wonderful experience! After a tiring drive through heavy rain and snow we arrived at the hotel not knowing quite what to expect. We were wonderfully surprised! The welcome from the charming lady on reception was warm and sincere. She told us everything we needed to know about the hotel, restaurant opening times; location and use of spa, gym and the swimming pool. I think they must have upgraded us because our room was magnificent, with what seemed like the biggest bed we have ever slept in.....and very comfortable too. Dinner was great, as was breakfast. The waiter could not have been more jolly and accomodating after I explained my dietry needs. We used to break our journey from Spain to France by staying at Vielha, but no more. In future we WILL stay at Vilagaros. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you to all the staff there!"
Hotel Montarto ★★★★
"Stayed for 1 week over New Year. Pros - Clean, modern, friendly staff- especially Carlos the ski shuttle driver, good facilities, generous food portions, fresh orange juice and fresh tomato paste/ spread every morning Cons - Small room, no proper bathroom ( just a shower cubicle and toilet which open directly into room), main bar lacks atmosphere. On New Years Eve the hotel provided a small party pack for each guest along with the traditional 12 grapes, and some music but we were too tired to stay up to see what happened at midnight. Overall a decent hotel in a decent location. "
Hotel Chalet Bassibe ★★★★
"If I could give 0 stars for service I would. Do not book this hotel. They will literally insult you for asking for the simplest and most basic hotel amenities. I will admit the location is marvelous. However, we booked a room for 2 with plenty of time and when we got here it was clear that they did not check that our room was ready for us to use (we checked in at 7pm). Throughout our stay we never had a functioning mini fridge, they never gave us more than 2 hand towels let alone full body towels or a shower mat, and when we told them our safe was not working they gave us another safe that took up significant space in the small closet we had and they did not even take away the broken one. The hotel manager does not know what different towel sizes are, and never acknowledged how not having body towels can be an issue. The rudeness we received deserves negative stars if that was possible."
Tuc Blanc ★★★
"I was here for a scientific conference. The middle of the day was reserved for skiing. The hotel was spacious, clean, well-organized and the staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The breakfast and dinner was a buffet with a wide range of foods, all which were well prepared and delicious. The gondola was directly across the street from the hotel which could not have been more convenient."
Parador de Arties ★★★★
"Artíes is a beautiful village, we travelled at the very end of the winter season so it was very quiet . An issue of visiting end of season is that they run out of some of the dishes at the restaurant but there were other good options so not a big deal. The bar and restaurant were great as usual with Paradores. We booked a duplex room, It was fairly compact and one ends up hitting oneself on the low ceiling or the spiral staircase. The room was cute but VERY VERY tired (and dark) there is an urgent need to update those rooms. The worst thing for us was the quality of steep. A hotel's main raison d’être is to provide a good night's sleep and it was a shame that it really was terrible, we did not sleep well over the 4 nights we were there. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, lots of pillows available though. The biggest problem for us was the central heating, it cannot be regulated locally so the bedroom area was quite warm; we mentioned this to the Reception team who told us to open the window, what a terrible waste of energy when Paradores take pride on their sustainability initiatives. So, we did open the windows but then had to be closed when it got too cold and so on and so forth through the night, with the additional bonus of the chorus of lovely birds from the early hours to keep you awake just as you were about to drift off out of pure tiredness. I would have also expected to have had some room comforts like robe and sleepers, specially to go down to the swimming pool; we did ask at Reception for that very reason but we were told that there was a changing room in the gym. Overall, except for the poor quality of sleep, it is a lovely mountain parador and Artíes and the surrounding area are beautiful. On departure, I mentioned the above to the Reception team (Nuria) who mentioned that there's a renovation programme in the cards which is great news and hope to visit again when it is completed. "
Meliá de Tredós ★★★★
"- Beautiful mountain hotel, decorated with wood and stones, and a complimentary hot chocolate by the chimney - Staff extremely friendly and warm, from Valentina at reception to restaurant team and everyone we have met - Restaurant dinner (half board) is a real treat, gastronomic dishes curated with care and delightful flavours - Ski facilities made easy: complete renting of equipment 20 meters from reception desk, with lockers a few steps below, and constant shuttle to the nearby slopes We will love to come back here!"
Hotel & Spa Casa Irene ★★★★
"We booked this restaurant for the first time and we loved it. It has parking to let the car nothing more arrive. A wonderful attention, you are received with a spumant cup, with which we followed the dinner, because it was very good. We ask for one dish for each, and we test the powder, sole milk, eggs with truffle and a fish."
