Road Lodge Mbombela ★
"The breakfast was not impressive at all especially the hard small sausages. The nice breakfast was when the Mbabane Football Team was hosted on Saturday only."
The Capital Mbombela ★★★★
"Great stay! The room was clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful, and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.”"
Coyotes Hotel & Conference Centre ★★★
"The reception staff on departure was rude because they were on phone expecting us to wait for them to complete personal call before attending us, the cleaning staff was making noise from 5am"
StayEasy Mbombela ★★★
"Clean and neat. Good stay for the business trip. Breakfast was ok. Not many choices but enough for light meal. Shower booth was spacious and there was a soap and bodywash. Gym was in the other hotel but swimming pool was in the hotel. Near by the mall which is very convenient. I'll visit again."
La Roca Guest House ★★★★
"The hospitality at La Roca Guest House is exceptional! The place is so peaceful, the breakfast is thoughtfully prepared with attention to every detail, and the property itself is cozy, comfortable, and beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very welcomed."
Protea Hotel Nelspruit ★★★★
"Hotel is decent, clean and well located in Mbombela. However staff at reception are useless. We arrived on Saturday 30 September at 17h30 and it took 45 minutes to check in. Our confirmation letter showed that our booking included breakfast whereas the computer reflected room only. The room allocated to us behind reception was next to the parking. Very noisy throughout the evening when guests come in and park. When we arrived for breakfast on Monday morning the restaurant staff told us that breakfast was not included. Again we had to show our confirmation letter to reception before we were allowed to have breakfast.."
85 Ehmke Guesthouse ★★★
"The room was so spacious, the bed was comfortable. The place is just so quiet.Everything was amazing, enjoyed every moment of my stay. "
Mercure Nelspruit Hotel ★★★
"I have never visited a hotel with such shocking rooms. Dirty carpets, aircon not working, dirty aircon, dirty shower, linen too small, broken tiles, ants all over the place, gardens a joke. Reception area and bar/pool nice and staff excellent."
LoerieRoep Estate - Mountainview Selfcatering Accommodation Nelspruit ★★★★

La Villa Vita
"La Villa Vita is the classiest, most romantic, architecturally beautiful, amazingly stunning place I have ever stayed! After traveling to 46 different countries all over the world, La Villa Vita is still my personal favorite! The food is great, the staff from the owners to the manager to the waiters and waitresses are so kind, attentive, and accommodating! You feel welcomed into a family when you walk up into their grand entrance and won’t want to leave at checkout! My wife Melissa and I highly recommend La Villa Vita for your next stay in Nelspruit or visit to Kruger National Park."
Acacia Guest House
"This was a very disappointing stay on a recent visit to SA. I got bad vibes from the start when we arrived at the location in a suburban neighborhood where the compound was surrounded by high walls with barbwire. The (owner?) staff seemed stunned and unprepared by the arrival of our 13-person party. The check-in process was extremely slow as they struggled to assign names to room. There was no explanation or orientation about the place/grounds/amenities, etc. They keys were old-school with comically large plastic tags attached that were impossible to fit in a pocket without removing the tag. The rooms themselves were adequate and appeared clean, but many problems existed throughout our parties' rooms including: heat not working, leaking plumbing, one room with no curtain or blind which required the use of a blanket to cover the window, TV screens smaller than a laptop, burned out light bulbs; in one case 3/4 bulbs not working in the bathroom. Meals were of decent quality, but again the staff seemed disoriented by our party and struggled to keep up. WiFi was ok but the host was confused about how to access it. Some people asked if there was laundry service available, which, to be fair, was not a service offered. They tried to accommodate the request anyway, but one family in our party found that there laundry had been returned to there room WET and then the wet laundry was laid on the bed, which of course soaked the bedding! Another family's laundry was apparently taken to a laundromat and they were charged a huge amount. Honestly the lodge should have just said no laundry service available. On our second night, the staff prepared a traditional African Braai. While the food was decent, members of our party reported seeing the man working the grill while smoking a cigarette with a very long ash hanging from his mouth directly over the grill. My nephew ordered a beer and when he received it, he quickly opened it and took a sip. Then he realized the beer tasted flat and there was no fizz. He checked the bottle carefully and noticed it was only about 2/3 full despite him having taken only a small slip. We asked about leaving the premises to explore and were told it was unsafe and that we should not leave the compound. I personally asked the host about the lack of heat in my room. She accompanied me to my room and tried the remote control herself, then told me, "some of the heat doesn't work. I'll have "him" (presumably the staff maintenance guy/barbecuer/cook) look at it". "He" never did! Despite being fairly cold weather with no heat available, windows were left open by the cleaning staff. In at least one case the window mechanism was broken and the window couldn't be closed all the way. The only way I could get warm after returning to my chilly room was to take a hot shower, though there was a sign in the bathroom requesting no long showers be taken. One of our party noticed the pipe in the ceiling above their shower was leaking through the c"
Jörn's Gästehaus
"An excellent three days here; huge and spacious room, with all the in-room necessities for a business trip; the decor is perhaps a bit dated, but spotlessly clean ... with nice touches such as a shower gown and welcoming chocolate. The communal areas are excellent - the garden is truly wonderful with all sorts of bird and small animal (the good ones) life, and the breakfast is simply superb - an array of "continental" nibbles in addition to cereals and fruit, plus a large hot breakfast (3 choices) and of course great coffee (or tea) and fresh fruit juice. And last but not least, welcoming and friendly staff!"
A Pousada Guesthouse
"the host were great and security of the area is excellent"
Sheppard Boutique Hotel
"We had a great 3 day stay in this hotel. The restaurant part of this hotel has a beautiful view. The security was very friendly en helpful, they called a taxi for us and even washed our car before our leave. The reception helped us with printing the panorama route and booked a self drive at Krugerpark for us. The women at the breakfast were very friendly. The room we had was on a corner and was very nice. The bath takes a lot of room in the bathroom, the plinth needs some attention and the curtain must be seen at but that's all I would chance here."
Vineyard on the Hill
"Booked a "Luxury Self-Catering Family Suite", but have to say it was absolutely not luxury! A relatively dark cellar room, with windows out to a carport or a narrow passageway. All in all, the room was no more than "just OK", a bit worn and with mold on the bathroom ceiling. Self-catering is possible, but why are there no kitchen utensils in the cupboards? The swimming pool was also not particularly inviting, dark and the paving stones around it were dirty and covered in algae."
Southern Sun Mbombela
"I recently had a very bad experience with Southern sun Mbombela. They lost my 2 underwears that i left hanging on their shower and it was not the 1st time. Some time ago it was a twin plug and at some point it was something for my daughters. that I forgot hanging and I was told that the housekeeper didn't find them but I left them on the shower hanging. Can they please change as underwear are expensive. Im disappointed. You can not keep on losing things and say u didn't find them although I left it there"
Francolin Lodge
"Pleasant, peaceful and curated location, friendly staff. Rooms are very spacious, equipped with all necessary stuff and with a classy furniture. The restaurant is very tasty, with a beautiful terrace. "
Hummingbird's Nest
Birds Babble Self Catering
"Better than expected. Very neat, clean and private. Will definitely stay there again and can recommend it for a nice quiet getaway but still in the city."
Casa Palmeira
"the place is very neat, clean rooms and bedding its situated in a quiet location and peaceful. its a great value for money the staff is very friendly and accommodating will definitely book there again."
Christie's guesthouse
"Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The garden was amazing and had a large and nice pool. Overall We enjoyed our stay very much. "
