"This is the accommodation I stayed at after touring Caminito del Rey and El Torcal during my trip following the Santiago pilgrimage. The air conditioner was broken, which was worse than I expected, though they did provide hot water. It would have been nice if there had been at least a kettle."

"This is a wonderful place to stay if you want peace and quiet but access to all of Nerja and the beaches. We stayed here for 3 weeks in March 2025. The apartment was perfect, beds very comfortable and all facilities as shown. The 20 apartments are situated in a courtyard style around the pool, which unfortunately due to the weather was too cold to use. ( Although there is a small indoor poo ). The staff were brilliant, especially Beatrice and Manuel. The Mercadona supermarket is a 2 minute walk away and Carrefour is about 5mins. There are a few restaurants within a few minutes walk. The walk into Nerja or the Burriana beach was easy, but very hilly so coming back took a bit longer. Although Taxis are relatively cheap about 6euros from the Burriana beach. Buses ( more like coaches) are excellent and cheap. the only thing missing was perhaps a coffee shop or small bistro on the premises."

"We had a lovely stay here! The owner and housekeepers are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The room we stayed in was right next to the pool area. Although the pool area is somewhat small, it is rarely full so it is totally fine for a quick cool down or just to lounge around. Fridge in the room, desk and chair, bedding was comfortable/typical for Spain. Security gate/keypad quite easy to use. Parking right outside the property was always available for us. Would stay here again!!!"

"Loved everything about this little b&b perfect. Close enough to town but quiet and peaceful. We chose a room with terrace & sunbeds which was just the best idea. The owners are lovely. The breakfast is great and so is the breakfast room/ view. We didn’t use the pool area much because of the terrace but when we did it’s great. Everything is clean & well maintained"

"We knew the hotel would be basic from the photos but nothing could have prepared us for the room we were allocated. We arrived at 2.30 am in the morning. We went to the front of the hotel and there was no reception. I walked around the building rather panic stricken with a young child in tow and by chance, saw a note in the Ben and Jerrys ice cream shop window saying the hotel entrance was around the side. After walking round and seeing an entrance, there was another note with a phone number to check in, not ideal at two in the morning after travelling for six hours. The person on the end of the phone was actually really helpful, giving us a code for the entrance door and one for our room. When we got to our room we were a bit taken aback, it was nothing like the photos. We had twin beds, dressing table and two antique chairs and a tv. There was no kettle or tea and coffee making facilities, we had a half size balcony with a cage around it and a window with a shutter and what can only be described as a bed sheet used as a curtain. My son and I were both tired and got into bed. However, we were unable to sleep because of the constant noise from both inside and outside the hotel. The bins were collected at 4am, followed by comings and goings, noise of singing, chatting and suitcases being taken up and down the street. People were arriving or leaving and the hotel at all hours, meaning that it was impossible to sleep. The next morning, I messaged the number for check in, explaining the situation with the noise levels and asked if we could be moved to a different room. The message was read and ignored, despite everything we didn’t hear back from anyone and the noise continued throughout the week. I wouldn’t go back there. Nobody is on site to help, no check in instructions or guidance throughout our stay."

"Jose Cruz apartments are perfectly situated for a short break in Nerja, a short walk from Burriana beach. The apartment was spotless, with all the amenities you could ask for. The host, Antonio, was extremely welcoming, personally showing us around the communal areas as well as the apartment. Nothing was too much trouble for him or his staff. Would definitely recommend this location for any couple planning in staying near the beach in Nerja."

"Location is fabulous! With Playa Burriana (steep walk downs and back) one side and Playa Carrabeillo to the other we were very happy. So many places to eat and drink and plenty of ships too! The local supermarket didn't feel over priced or aimed at tourists and the cafe's dotted about were great. The apartment itself is extremely dated. All furniture seems to be cast-offs, bottom draw missing in main room (only one bedside table). No full length mirror. Word of warning, the entry into the shower is rather small width way, and when using the toilet or shower keep windows shut otherwise you could end up with an audience, as it's over looked. Pool was OK, but only enough space for 3 loungers. Luckily it didn't seem anyone wanted to use it when we were, and vice versa. it's fine for a short trip. No welcome pack (not that it's expected but always nice to have some milk and coffee and a bottled water for arrival), Attention to detail could be better."
