"This was a nice room, moderately sized, with a fantastic view from the balcony. But the bed was unyielding when you lay on it and the bottom sheet was pilled and annoying. Apart from that it is a very good deal and maybe it was just our room with a bad bed. The hotel is badly signed - the only indication is hard to see easily in a side window. If you are towing a bag, go along the road below and carry up the steps. What is showing as a road to the front door is a roughly cobbled track."

"The hotel was pleasant enough , although our first balcony was tiny, you couldn't fit two people on comfortably. We paid for a balcony and complained, they moved us the next day to a much better view. The room was tired, the curtains did not cover the whole window so lots of light coming in, not the best sleep. The food was ok, as we expected for an all inclusive all be it a bit cold. Service in the restaurant was excellent. We made the mistake of using a nearby ashtray on the beach and faced the wrath of the Beach Service attendant and the hotels masseur (the only one) Both were very aggressive and angry. This meant we did not visit the beach again, it also meant we did not use the hotels spa services, which were not as sold. Very disappointing. It is a big part of our holiday to have regular massages but unfortunately due to the very aggressive masseur we did not once. They lost quite a bit of money because of this. So we went to the pool, nice area but the Lifeguard was of the same ilk as the other two, aggressive and angry, and very rude snatching towels back. Tip,if you are using the pool or beach you need to get a card from reception for the towels or face the angry grunts from the Lifeguard. There are no cushions on any beds so be prepared for a sore bottom and back if you are there all day. Most of the staff were pleasant but be prepared not to be smiled at, a lot. It was such a shame about the men there, it very much tainted our holiday with these three particular men. They were awful and intimidating. I very much doubt we will return. I think this hotel could be great but sadly it is not. Location is great for a nice stroll to the old town."

" Instead of lemonade, water with artificially flavored syrup, soups were out, salad was modest with stale tomatoes and a single olive, seafood risotto and pasta with a little seafood, both with completely cold mussels on top and served with a 15 minute delay. At the end waitress asked how much tip we would leave."

"A magnificent family atmosphere, owner Chris - a stunning man and a hospitality host, speaks in many languages (Bulgarian, English, Russian, Italian) and is always ready to help, he meets himself, feed and drink guests (thank you for the charming racy). "This is a lovely hotel, very modern and clean. Rooms are spacious, I had a lovely huge bed, as a solo, this is appreciated. Kettle, safe. Fridge, air-conditioning, TV was lacking in English programmes, as in it had none. You could access Netflix and You Tube, if you have existing accounts with them. The buffet restaurant was good, always a few choices, I found the food tasty, though usually luke warm, there is a microwave, which I made use off. There was always pizza and salads. The tables were cleared quickly and the staff were young and friendly. The lounge is nice and bright, though surprised the bar closed at 10 pm, when you then had to go downstairs to the night bar. There is an indoor pool and gym. The outdoor pool is lovely and plenty of sunbeds, it also has a pool bar until 6pm. Many thanks to Pancho, Anton and Jakob for their friendly service. The down points for me were, the smoking everywhere, round the pool, in the glass dining area, when peopke are eating. The lack of comfortable seating in the lounge, a few couches, but lots of high stools and tables, of which many older people found difficult to access. There is a lot of wasted space where more couches and small tables can be put, in the are up to the side of the reception desk. The lack of entertainment was a big dissapointment, bingo, karaoke, by in the in house animators. I would have expected proper entertainment to be brought in at least 4 nights of the week. Downstairs night bar, dark, dingy and again high tables and stools. It seemed to me this was mostly geared to younger people, when ghe actual demographic was older guests. The pool music is a notch too loud, especially when the animators are playing it. The surrounding area, was a let down in terms of entertainment, lots of places closed. Old Town worth a visit, Sunny Beach a lot busier. Maybe time for Nessebar to start it's season earlier. Coming from the UK, I found it hard to get used to the constant smoking everywhere, Bulgarians seem to be very heavy smokers. With a few tweaks re seating and entertainment, I would have given a higher score."

"We were a little apprehensive before we flew out due to the negative reviews on here. However, absolutely no reason to have been! We are still here now and having a lovely time. Hotel is exactly as you see in the pictures. If you feel that it looks dated and the colour scheme doesn't suit then don't book. Rooms are bright, fresh and cleaned daily and our room had definitely been modernised as fittings and bed fittings felt new. Our cleaner is lovely, friendly and does a thorough job. Fresh towels every day. Yes they are thin but do the job and personally I wouldn't want a big fluffy towel whilst I'm on my summer holiday! Hotel staff are nice but a little reserved. Try saying hello, good morning and thank you to them and they are full of smiles. Breakfast is plentiful. Other reviews have said inedible. I would say that's going a little far. Lots of choice. Fresh fruit, bread, toaster, continental meats and salad, pancakes, fresh honey and yes English breakfast products! Now the English breakfast range is not great but the hotel have tried to cater for everyone. This is not an all English hotel it's multi cultural. I would say the English part of breakfast was the only disappointment in the hotel which is good going really. You would have to be extremely fussy if you can't find something to eat here and that comes from someone who has family members with allergies and even they would find something to eat. Other reviews mention seagulls. OK so Nessebar does have seagulls (surprise surprise - it's by the sea!) But this morning I observed 5 cleaners and a pool man cleaning around and in the pool at 8am. They wash down all the sunbeds with a brush and hose and the floors around the pool area. What more can they do? The seagulls don't fly around you during the day and don't come near the pool until people have gone. Pool area has free and good quality sunbeds and view over the beach. No fighting for sunbeds. Some people were reserving at 8am but really no need. We went down on first day at 10am and got front row overlooking the sea and lots more available around the pool. We had a Seaview room overlooking the pool and had a beautiful view as far as the old town. Comfy double bed, excellent air conditioning and the sound of the sea right outside. Beach right in front of hotel is a long gorgeous sandy beach with loads of sunbeds. Cost 15 euro for 2 beds an umbrella and a table. Payable in cash to sunbed man. Beach is cleaned every night and morning. Tractors sweep the beach in the evening and all sunbeds are put back in place. In the mornings there are beach cleaners who come round and litter pick where needed. Old town is absolutely gorgeous. We walked into the old town along the seafront in about 20 mins. You can also walk via the new town and road if you want. We have walked into old town most nights. Loads of restaurants and bars and good price even seafront restaurants. Local restaurants near the hotel are nice. Almost every day we hav"

"Lovely hotel, clean and well kempt. However because we were end of season we were made to feel exactly that. Certain drinks had run out not to be replaced, even Coke, Tia Maria, Baileys which were supposed to be available. The beach bar closed by the end of the week even though it was part of what should have been available as part of the package. The food was the same day in day out and what wasn’t eaten at breakfast was put out for the evening meal. None of it was hot and the fish was extremely over cooked and then reheated. Have to say the salads were beautiful. There was no knowledge of food allergies or dietary requirements when the staff were asked and the manager was totally clueless. The restaurant needs a total rethink before the next season as it lets down an otherwise lovely hotel. There should also be the same services available from start to finish of the season as advertised. Unfortunately I wouldn’t go back"

"We emailed ahead to let the hotel know my daughter and myself have coeliac disease so could we have gluten free bread and pastries at breakfast. We asked on the first morning, they had none. For the next 3 days we asked but no. After reading reviews where people had been given lovely gluten free bread and pancakes we were very disappointed. Staff would only say good morning/good evening if we said it first, or else there was no greeting. Breakfast waitresses were almost rude as they would barge past, never smiling. I even got told off and pushed away from the water machine when filling my child’s bottle 5 minutes after breakfast ended. There were other people still having things to eat and drink so I thought I’d get some water. They didn’t stop others, only me! Very nice, clean and comfortable building. Let down by the staff. One friendly man at breakfast and one young lady on the front desk but that was all. Be careful of taxi drivers over charging. Set your price before you get in the cab! Beautiful old town and some good trips."
