📍 143 Main St, Newcastle

"The bed. The mattress? The Savage Room ..........honestly I have never slept on a more comfortable mattress in my life . Some kind of magic ergonomic design . This is a beautiful B and B . Staff lovely. Beer garden amazing : designed like an Ibiza party spot but tooled up for the NI coastal weather. Savage room had sea view, hot radiators, beautiful toiletries supplied, classically designed room. Breakfast was tasty ."

Slieve Donard ★★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend for families, couples, golf and sea lovers. Lucia in the main restaurant single handedly made our stay memorable with her personal touch. She's an amazing waitress and wonderful human being!"

Enniskeen Country House Hotel ★★★
"We had the most wonderful time, and from the moment we checked in to the moment we left we really felt looked after and cared for by the whole team there - we couldn't praise their warmth and friendliness enough. We had booked a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The views were breathtaking and as night fell we were able to enjoy the moon and stars from the balcony - truly memorable...just like our stay 💖"

"Awful . Poor service not once but twice . Very slow . Owners attitude on reasonable complaint was appalling. Not interested in even listening to complaint. Could easily have been resolved at the time but chose to arrogantly take position his establishment could not make a mistake . Don’t go here"

Blue Door Apartments ★★★
"We stayed two nights at this one bedroom apartment. It was perfect for my husband and I. Decorated beautifully and spotless. Large living, dining and kitchen room with three windows for good light. Bedroom was fine and a large bathroom. Easy access in and out. The apartment is on the start of the high street and behind is the beach and promenade. Plenty of walks around the area. The lovely owner Dana made us very welcome and she also has the Shimna cafe downstairs in which you have your breakfast, good quality of food and coffee. The staff are also very friendly and you feel part of the community. Seating indoors and outside. I have no problem recommending this lovely place and I'm sure all the accommodations belonging to Blue Door as as lovely as ours . We will certainly return in the near future."

The loft was booked the third night so moved to the Garden room,B and B, in the main house. Home was simply and beautifully furnished and wow what a view of the Mourne Mountains and the hosts beautiful garden Wonderful breakfast too with home made breads and preserves Thankyou Patricia and John for a wonderful stay."
