The Briers
"Had a great stay here and will definitely return, i was a solo traveller with my dog. The Briers had excellent service and nothing was to much trouble. Location is first class, The Briers is in a peaceful location but also so close to Tullymore forest park, Newcastle beach and so much more."
Slieve Donard
"We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend for families, couples, golf and sea lovers. Lucia in the main restaurant single handedly made our stay memorable with her personal touch. She's an amazing waitress and wonderful human being!"
Dundrum Inn
"Awful . Poor service not once but twice . Very slow . Owners attitude on reasonable complaint was appalling. Not interested in even listening to complaint. Could easily have been resolved at the time but chose to arrogantly take position his establishment could not make a mistake . Don’t go here"
Avoca Hotel
Enniskeen Country House Hotel
"One night stay June 2026 in a comfortable large deluxe room with mountain and sea views. Bathroom was huge. Beds were comfy. The room had a double and two twin beds. Complimentary tea/coffee station and Ballygowan water. Hairdryer in a drawer. We had a nice meal from the early bird menu. Dinner and breakfast was tasty and well presented. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is very clean, cosy and welcoming with old world charm. Very interesting history connected with Belfast tobacco, linen and rope industries. We enjoyed the lovely nature river walk. The hotel is easy to find from Newcastle town and has ample parking. A relaxed pleasant short stay."
Burrendale Hotel Country Club & Spa
"Stayed Friday 13-th Feb 2026 it was a Black Friday offer. The staff were lovely from checking in right through to Checking out. The food was delicious and the gentleman working in the bar that evening was a credit to the hotel he couldn't have done enough, friendly attentive and nothing was any bother. 2 sisters singing in the bar who were great. All in all 10/10"
The Donard Hotel
"Absolutely love this hotel it really is the best where it's located prefect very clean, rooms are prefect."
Blue Door Apartments
"The place was clean, modern and welcoming but there were a few problems. Firstly, the booking claims to have WiFi included, but the only network available was a free cafe WiFi. My girlfriend struggled to sleep as the bedroom is directly beside a noisy crosswalk which activates throughout the entire night, I slept fine, so just keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper. The customer service was excellent, getting a response in less than 20 minutes. The location as a whole was good, close to many food places and 10 minute walk from a spar and a Tesco. I would recommend this place for the price and a short trip but if you are going for a week or longer, I would look elsewhere."
