"Check in was 3:00pm. I arrived at 5:15pm. There is no map of hotel and parking around hotel available for guest to review. Took 15 minutes to fine a hotel layout which didn't help. Walked into a used room. Nobody cleaned it up by 5:30pm I was told it would be 30 minutes at least to clean it up. Manager complained about higher workers (not my problem). Phone in room was flashing red light for messages, but there was not messages. Front desk person came up to verify it was not working correctly and took phone out of room. Sink dripped water all night. Put hand towel in sink to quiet the noise. Harley Davidson bar within 100 feet of hotel and the noise echoed through room most of night. Only things good was staff listening and responding and the breakfast. Bananas went quickly."

"I wanted to like this one year old hotel, as the others in the area are quite old. Check in and follow up conversations at the front desk were challenging. The check-in clerk, when asked how we could get breakfast included in our room rate (standard for a Courtyard and we are long-term Bonvoy members) was puzzled, stating she was new. When she finally determined how to do so, she locked herself in to another computer screen and equally locked in our no-breakfast rate. I had called twice earlier, including the day of check in when room assignments are made, to state I was a light sleeper and needed our room type away from the elevators and ice machines. She showed us the room compared to the elevators on the map of the hotel. All was fine. We went to our room and it was 20 feet from the ice machine. New employees are acceptable. Untrained ones are not. The next morning, I asked a new desk clerk if the concrete sidewalk on the north side of the hotel, just a few steps away, was a walking path, as we now enjoy in so many places. He had no idea, he said. I went out there and it was a 100' sidewalk, and I advised him of such. The most egregious situation, by far, however, occurred the night we arrived. We were having a small family reunion and were in a booth in the lobby with 3 family members we had not seen in 15 months. We had been told by a participant there was another family reunion of 100 people. Correction: 100 very loud and inconsiderate people. About 9 p.m. a man with a bubble machine, presumably from the reunion, led a parade through the lobby of about 20 children, the oldest probably 8, all draped in lights. Ok. Fine. But they were all screaming as they followed him, Pied Piper like. Not ok. It stopped all the socializing throughout the lobby, including our little time with our family. But the finale was yet to come. He had led this yelling, ill-mannered tribe, like Lord of the Flies, outside to the hotel's deck. When they returned to the lobby they were all blowing police whistles inside as loudly as possible. Twenty police whistles in a hotel lobby. I have traveled extensively for 50 years and can say without a doubt this was the most egregious behavior I have ever seen or had to endure in a public place in a hotel. It stopped our family conversation cold. We had to leave. I went to the front desk. The same, somewhat bewildered woman heard my story. She was in the back, she said, and didn't hear a thing. Well....there could have been 5 fire alarms going off, which would have been quieter, and the on-duty staff didn't hear a thing? They should be monitoring the lobby, be trained, be there for their clients, and taken immediate steps to guide this abusive man and his 20 delinquents out to the parking lot or the sidewalk if they insisted upon these profoundly intrusive antics. My family reunion ended on that note. Never to be regained again."

FairBridge Inn & Suites - Lewiston ★★
"Was not able to stay with Fairbridge in Lewiston due to a back injury that occurred the morning of the first day of a reservation for a 2-day stay. Even though it was too late to cancel the reservation, I attempted to once I had arrived home late the same day, hoping the extenuating circumstances would at least gain me a credit for one of the two days. No dice. Lesson learned, and being in business myself, I fully realize that there must be rules that managers and team members must follow to ensure the sustainability of a business; however, there are also exceptions to those rules if extenuating circumstances occur and are reasonable and legitimate."

"This is a brand new hotel! We just finished our 3 night stay here during our trip across Idaho, we absolutely loved this hotel! It has an absolutely beautiful view of the mountains above Lewiston from the rear of the hotel, we could see it from our rooms! We will definitely be back!"
