"Choosing SM Tower Malioboro Hotel was a great decision because of its fantastic location, very close to Malioboro. The breakfast was decent, but the bedroom floor wasn't very clean, and the service wasn't friendly. There was a woman working at breakfast who always looked grumpy and unfriendly. The cleaning staff also didn't do a thorough job. On the bright side, the cafe was nice and affordable, and the cafe staff were very friendly. Thanks!"

"My homestay recommended a tour to Borbodora. I paid the fare when I got in, and stopped by a Lewa Coffee shop on the way. A cup costs 50,000 rupees. I refused because it was expensive, but the driver insisted I buy him a drink. He had to buy me a drink, otherwise I wouldn't just leave. After sightseeing, he recommended a good restaurant for the return trip to the hotel. What was the driver doing after waiting at a local restaurant for two hours? I told him I didn't want to go, so on the way back, he ordered food for himself, picked it up on the way home, and ate it while driving. He didn't order another cheap drink, and just ordered himself a meal by phone. Are tourists fools? Should I buy them a meal at a nice restaurant on the way to the shopping center? I don't mind donating to people in need. I'm not stingy. But this situation didn't sit well with me. The other people in the hostel should have noticed when I told them I was going to Borbodora."
