"Running a guesthouse isn't easy, especially in Xinjiang where they can only operate for half the year. The owner is business-savvy, but their staff also need to consider things from a guest's perspective, especially since we're paying customers. They should really be trained on this. Not having breakfast is completely unacceptable. Two nights in three rooms cost over 5000. No breakfast on the first day was annoying, and the attitude of the Halal-certified lady was a bit off-putting. Otherwise, everything else was fine. It's about a 20-minute drive from Bee Town."

"The B&B has a modern decor, and the room is quite spacious, comfortably accommodating two people. The service was very welcoming; as soon as we arrived, a staff member helped us with our luggage and even gave us complimentary fruit and dried nuts. The room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was served individually. The disposable face towels, slippers, and toilet paper were of slightly lower quality."

"I booked a room after reading positive reviews online, but only stayed one night before checking out. The main reason was that the hotel is right next to National Highway 315, which was too noisy. The owner specifically arranged a room further inside, but I barely slept that night. It was indeed peak season, and the price was lower than other hotels in town. Although the hotel isn't in town, it's not far, about a ten-minute walk. Everything else was fine. The owner offered to purify the car, but we were in a hurry and didn't bother. Breakfast was simple but tasted good. They only gave one egg per person, and refused to give us an extra one. I only ate a steamed bun and a bowl of porridge; I didn't eat a lot and then ask for an egg."

Seventy mile homestay

"There aren't many good accommodations in the entire Bailihualang scenic area. Food and prices are also relatively high. This B&B is closer to the Mengkete scenic area and a bit newer. There's a "food court" nearby, but the quality and hygiene seem questionable. The room has a somewhat pungent, decorative smell and is not soundproof. You need to wait half an hour before showering to allow the water to heat up. There's a large pot of lamb stew in the yard. I ordered one for 188 yuan, but it was cold and the lamb fat had solidified. Another day of complaints."

"The accommodation is located near the entrance of the Mengkete Ancient Road Scenic Area, very close:) There are quite a few homestays in that area, but I chose this one based on the information from Ctrip. After looking at the room, I decided to choose this one. The room was just opened to the public 25 years ago, and the decoration is quite western style (in line with the aesthetic taste of young people). The bathroom facilities are complete, and there is a small balcony with lights on, which creates a good atmosphere. Looking out from the floor-to-ceiling glass, you can see the scenery in the distance, as well as the cattle and sheep on the distant mountains. The scenery is nice~"

"I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse in the Mengkete River Valley! It was the most comfortable stay I had during my trip to Tangbula! The location is absolutely amazing, right on the edge of the Hundred-Mile River Valley. Stepping outside, you're surrounded by grasslands and snow-capped mountains. Everywhere you look is lush greenery and clear water. The air is incredibly fresh, and the place is quiet and comfortable – a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The guesthouse was exceptionally clean and tidy. The rooms were impeccably arranged, and the beds were very comfortable. Even though it can get a bit chilly in the mountains at night, the room was perfectly warm, making for a very comfortable stay. The owner is incredibly honest and welcoming. He's very genuine and patiently explains nearby tourist routes and photogenic spots, and he's very thoughtful and attentive. The food is also authentic local cuisine, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. If you're visiting Mengkete, hiking the ancient trails, or exploring the Hundred-Mile Gallery, this guesthouse is a must-stay. It's great value for money, has a wonderful environment, and the owners are genuinely kind. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

"The rooms were clean and warm, and the owner was very welcoming. He even mowed the yard when I arrived. The hotel is beautiful, with lots of plants and a gazebo. You can also buy some hawthorn candy, honey, or get some water there. There's parking and a charging station. Breakfast is all you need. It's right next to the Kashgar River with stunning valley views. Highly recommended!"

"Our housekeeper, Li Siyu, contacted us several days in advance, providing attentive service throughout the trip. She advised us on everything from where to go and what to do to where to eat. I only casually mentioned we were going to drive the Duku Highway the next day, and she immediately informed me of the highway's opening status – incredibly thoughtful! The campsite was truly beautiful, standing out prominently on National Highway 315. Anyone passing by would take a second look. The facilities were incredibly comprehensive; despite being a campsite, it even had a gym, a coffee shop, a restaurant, various recreational facilities, and a bonfire party in the evening. There was also a 24-hour convenience store at the entrance. Opposite the campsite was a grassland boardwalk, and the campsite itself was next to a stream – truly fairytale-like! It's only 17 kilometers from the Mengkete Ancient Road and very close to Xiaohuashan Mountain and several viewpoints. I felt like we didn't even need to visit any attractions; the campsite itself was a scenic spot – absolutely gorgeous! The breakfast the next morning was better and more plentiful than I expected! Truly perfect!"
