"Thin walls, unprofessional service, avoid at all costs. The owners asked for cash payment, which was a red flag but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because we prefer to support local businesses instead of giving our money to a chain hotel. The untrained member of the family who was filling in for the owners completely mishandled a misunderstanding about children on the premises, using an inappropriate and hostile tone with my family. When my husband and I decided to leave early following this encounter and pay our due after the second night, after I asked for a receipt, the woman accused us of shortchanging her because we had supposedly booked a 3rd night. We had to leave and book elsewhere, as our entire weekend getaway had become stressful as a result of this horrible experience. I am a seasoned traveler who has stayed in hotels all over Europe, and in the Americas. Never have I been treated so poorly and with such blatant disregard. Never again!"

From the warm welcome to the quiet, thoughtful gestures throughout the stay, everything feels natural, sincere, and deeply personal. There is an ease here that makes you feel completely at home, as if you’ve been here before, as if it already knows you. This is our second stay, and it already feels certain it won’t be our last. Places like this are not simply destinations they become part of you, turning into memories you carry, cherish, and find yourself drawn back to time and time again. If you are looking for something more than just a place to stay, something beautiful, soulful, and truly special, La Maison 19 is that place."

Hôtel de La Marmotte

"𝗝𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗟 Very 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗨 for the price/quality ratio (58€ for a single room for 1 night) on October 26, 2024. I booked this hotel at the last minute because it was close to the train station, I had a big suitcase and I was leaving the next day. The old staircase is covered with old carpet, the paint on the walls is peeling in some places and even more so on the 2nd floor in the hallway. When I entered room 7, there was a strong musty smell. She also told me that it was also rented the next day. There is an old telephone but no socket to plug it in. The TV turns on but does not work, it says "WELCOME" and that's it. No power outlet next to the 2 beds (it is at the entrance to the room, more than 2m away). In the shower cubicle, all the joints are dirty. The cast iron radiator, the paint is dated and there are places where it is no longer there. The box spring of the double bed is falling to the floor. There is 1 small wardrobe, but no hangers. When you are in bed to turn off the light on the wall above the bed, you have to get up because the button is more than a meter above the bed. There is a hole in the duvet cover. And on the desk, you can see that the colored plastic is dated. It is glued on top but above all there are pieces of plastic missing. As for the dining room, I did not see it because on Sunday mornings there is no breakfast. I had to go to the station. Frankly, when you see all this, I find that the hotel price of €58 for 1 person is too expensive."
