"Very good welcome by a charming man on reception. He explained everything clearly. The room was comfortable with a king size bed, good quality bedding, tv kettle and complimentary tea, coffee and bottle of water. Bathroom compact but it worked well with a shower and hair dryer. Highly recommended if you are catching an early train as it is truly just a 5 minute walk."

"Thin walls, unprofessional service, avoid at all costs. The owners asked for cash payment, which was a red flag but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because we prefer to support local businesses instead of giving our money to a chain hotel. The untrained member of the family who was filling in for the owners completely mishandled a misunderstanding about children on the premises, using an inappropriate and hostile tone with my family. When my husband and I decided to leave early following this encounter and pay our due after the second night, after I asked for a receipt, the woman accused us of shortchanging her because we had supposedly booked a 3rd night. We had to leave and book elsewhere, as our entire weekend getaway had become stressful as a result of this horrible experience. I am a seasoned traveler who has stayed in hotels all over Europe, and in the Americas. Never have I been treated so poorly and with such blatant disregard. Never again!"
