"We have been to Oberstaufen a number of times. It's just great how the hotel has developed in recent years. The whole hotel has been upgraded and new areas have been added, an outside part to the restaurant, a lounge adjacent to the lobby, a larger fitness area. We found everything super friendly, from the trainee to the boss. A lot is already included in the price: the yummy breakfast and the valuable Oberstaufen plus card, free parking, the sports, hiking and wellness offerings. I am surprised they don't advertise the Oberstaufen plus card better as I found this really a great deal ( e.g. free bikes, access to many attractions and adventure pools, wellness, ski pass) that not every hotel in the area offers - so you should ask your hotel before booking. Try the spa and sauna area of the hotel. If you need physical therapy: The hotel has qualified physiotherapists on site and offers treatments (e.g. Schroth's treatment) Location is very quiet and yet you are almost in the center of Oberstaufen, just a few minutes walk... Compared to most hotels, the rooms are very large at least 30 square meters. All offer a balcony, except for the small single rooms."

"Excellent location. Questionable art work in an otherwise beautiful traditional Bavarian hotel. Good breakfast selection. Friendly staff, but no one was informed enough to tell me why their cosy downstairs bar was called ‘Eagles Bar’. Thus staff management could do with more leadership. No disabled rooms available, and no rooms with rails in showers or toilets. Thus not very accessible for elderly/frail member of our family."
