Best Hotels in Obidos, Portugal

They placed me in a different room than the contract (I booked a superior room with balcony and I was placed in a room without balcony, 20 euros cheaper). I found that attitude wrong. The hotel is good, a good breakfast.

My husband and I recently stayed here for a one night getaway and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a corner room with a large balcony overlooking the swimming pool. From the balcony, we could see the walled city of Obidos. We knew in advance that the spa and restaurant were closed but that breakfast was still being served. Upon check-in, we filled in a card with our breakfast order and the time we planned to eat. The waiter brought our food very shortly after we sat down. It was very good and plentiful. The pool was a lovely temperature and not crowded at all. Due to Covid-19, the mini-bar was empty and I had to ask for glasses at reception. All the staff had masks on and were very friendly and professional. We'd stay here again for sure!

It is a fascinating hotel. Friendly staff, superb restaurant and absolutely out of the ordinary interior design. We will return.

This hotel met all my expectations for the ancient European hotel: the house needless to say, the historical building, the furniture is any 18th century, the decoration is very antique, for me this nostalgia is very strong people undoubtedly full of attraction. The breakfast ceremony is full of sense, the food quality is fresh and delicious, the food is very satisfying, the staff are elegant and generous, warm and thoughtful. Needless to say, the hotel environment is exquisite and beautiful. The pool brings us a lot of happiness and leisure. Of course, this old hotel can't be satisfied every week because the room is not big, such as no coffee tea can be self-service at any time, but it feels very lucky to be able to live in the town medieval festival. The guests here are also very elegant and tasteful, very pleasant! Hopefully I can come here again.

The hotel parking lot is very small (only 7-8 parking spaces on the roadside, coordinates 39.363078, -9.156986), parking is difficult. Please contact the hotel before departure to confirm the route to the city, so as not to catch it. For our stay in April 2019, only the Porta do Vale ou Senhora da Graça gate can enter the city, then turn right, follow the R. do Cel. Pacheco road to the top and then turn right, continue for 50 meters until There is a parking space under the castle. The front desk is in the garden at the end of the road. There are signs that can't go wrong. When leaving the city, first return to the entrance of Porta do Vale ou Senhora da Graça, then turn right (Graça gate can only enter the city, can not leave the city), south of the city wall all the way to the Portal de Óbidos gate (the gate Can only go out of town, can not enter the city), and then out of the city. There may be many steps from the parking space to the hotel room. It is recommended that older or infirm people arrange the front desk baggage helper (please pay the appropriate tip. For reference, if we have two large luggage, we will pay a 5 Euro tip). The 24-hour front desk staff is warm, professional and satisfied. The interior facilities of the room are in line with the website description and are comfortable. Satisfied with the waiter cleaning, emptying the trash, changing towels and making the bed in the daily room. The shower hot water is very good, no worries. No slippers in the room, please bring your own. The hotel restaurant view and service are very good. Rich breakfast and high quality. Beautiful dinner. The lounge is very comfortable and don't forget to enjoy it. There is a hidden door in the restaurant that leads directly to the top of the castle, so you can climb the high view and not miss it. Before the arrival of the early morning tide of Obidus and the retreat of the evening crowd, the light is soft, quiet and full of the original taste of the ancient city, which is worthy of sweeping the street. The inner city is not big, there are only three main streets in the north-south direction, and it takes only 1-1.5 hours to walk around.
