Bells Estate Great Ocean Road Cottages

"Beautiful location in the bush like a farm-stay. Great to see the animals but the big drawback was accommodation that is in a desperate need of a deep clean. Cobwebs everywhere in the cottage. Just surface cleaned. We had to wash several of the dishes before use. BBQ leaking gas once you open the bottle with knobs in off position not safe?? Water pressure not great as the pump need to kick in an then combined with a water saving shower head makes the shower a challenge. Towels and bedding has been used way to many times for a rental property. When you pay money to stay in a property you expect a lot better bedding and not old towels. Loved the fact that there was wood to light a fireplace the first night although we had to clean the fireplace first of old ash to start a new one. There was enough wood to make one fire during our stay. Outdoor the property lacks maintenance. Gardens and animals looks well cared for. There is an indoor pool onsite. Looks all clean and well maintained overlooking the lake. Lots of parking on the property. Out cottage was a short walk from the parking area past a workshop and printing business operating on the same site. The owners live in the main house and rent out several cottages on the property Remote control gate give you access while staying at the property Checkin and checkout was very straightforward as it is self checkin and checkout."

Boat Ramp Motel

"Needed a place to stay while moving house and the Boat Ramp Motel fit the bill. Very reasonably priced, basic but comfortable accommodation and a pool and BBQ area. Very friendly and casual owner. Not a place for a luxurious stay but a for a budget beach getaway, definitely! Centrally located and walking distance to a cafe."

Freshwater Creek Cottages & Farm Stay

"Lovely farm stay. Kids love the tractor ride, playgrounds and feeding the animals. You will be amazed by the starry nights too. The only minus is that there is no heating system in the bedroom and once the firewood burns out, it get really cold (this applies in Winter). But we enjoyed setting the fireplace!"
