"The positive is the dining room and food experience which is high end and what you’d expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice and healthy options as well as hit selections. The bedroom room 26 was disappointing,very dated ,couldn’t open the window and the bathroom and toilet need a complete refurbish,stayed in much nicer Best Western hotels with rooms. The disappointment apart from the room,was the final bill and being charged for someone else’s white wine at 62 euros a bottle, also being charged for rose champagne at 25 euros a glass when we had rose wine,this has now been partially rectified and currently awaiting a refund ,but it’s taken several emails and persistence"

The grounds are breathtaking. The attention to detail & the respect for history was so pleasing. The welcome & cocktails were second to none. Such a wonderful experience in the countryside of France. Our host could not have been more helpful in making our adventure go well. I could not recommend highly enough. If you get the change you have GOT to saty here. Absolutely beautiful x"

"Weekend for my anniversary 16/17 March. Location. Well isolated with nature has lost sight. The room: a kingsize bed, a sofa bed. Between are very comfortable. The room is perfect, well decorated in a purely Norman style. The bathroom is large,servies are available.cleanness is innocent. The spa side, swimming pool. A electric massage chair that makes the job perfectly,a sauna,a swimming pool at 28° . All in a tastefully decorated interior framework. The dinner is made in a convenient way with the guests and others who stay.The dishes are local, generous, and perfect to discover Normandy. The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a perfect weekend where everything is pleasant, from the framework to the food through the hotels."

"This is a fascinating little mini-farm in a centuries-old house. She has chickens, goats, and a miniature pony. Lovely places to relax on a lounge in the sun or eat out under an umbrella in the garden. Its 18-inch thick walls are perfect soundproofing. The silence is a welcome relief from a busy city. Host Monique is friendly and energetic, and an excellent cook. She even made the delectable croissants and jam for our yummy breakfast. It is served in a large dining room with several fascinating antiques and literature about local activities. I highly recommend the nearby B'O Resort & Spa in Bagnoles de l'Orne. You don't have to stay in the Victorian resort to take advantage of the hot spring treatments. I have been twice and felt all brand new after a soak, a mud pack, exercise class in the cool pool that is perfect for sightseer's legs, and a relaxing bubble-caressed lounge in yet another pool."

"The room was tight with space and the shower room the size of a closet. The wash basin was cracked. Where the manager was very charming and helpful her staff left much to be desired. Their body language left one with the impression that they were tired of tourists invading their space; indifferent and could not look at you in the eye. Table service was very poor showing a lack of training and experience. We were seated at a table but not given any menus. After waiting a quarter of an hour we noticed other couples arriving were seated and given menus immediately. At that point I got up and asked a member of staff for a menu. Having supplied our order we were kept waiting half an hour before the first course arrived while other customers who had arrived after us were served before us. Our dinner took us two and a half hours! On departure, after two nights, we were checked out by one of the assistants who was very curt, could not look at me in the eye and could not bring herself to wish us a pleasant journey! Cannot recommend this hotel"

The staff here were exceptional. Thank you so very much. The accommodation is brilliant, stayed here previously."

"We were sitting on the first floor of the ‘head' building and there were 2 separate rooms. Möbel is very old and rooms made a dust and not quite clean impression. 1 of the rooms had no curtain. Beddengoed was old (a little weared lakens) and muffy. The breakfast was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast does not suggest much, (no fresh) bread with only a cup of jam, yoghurt and apple juice. The bags of tea also looked very old. The environment is beautiful, spacious garden and nearby town with a few restaurants."
