"The hotel is in a good Location near the chanel. Very nice beer brewery with a big variety of beer is just across the Chanel . Fish market and train station in 10 minutes by steps. There is the perfect big onsen on the top with great view on the sea. All three days I visited it I was alone. Breakfast was ok, but not as gorgeous as I expected. The room was clean and quite big. The furniture is a little old but in good condition."

Dinner is in a separate small Japanese-style room with great privacy! In terms of travel, there is a bus stop at the door, and it is very convenient to take the bus to the city. In addition, the hotel also has a free shuttle bus to the bus stop in the city at 9:30 in the morning. In short, it was a very satisfactory stay! I would like to praise the service attitude again, which is really great~ I had a very happy two days!"

"The service from the hotel is very good. It is not far from OTARU canal, restaurants, and bus/train terminal. The hotel is run by an uncle and aunt who are the owners. It is clean and offers breakfast in a traditional Japanese style, which is very filling. The bath and toilet are shared, but separated for men and women. Sleeping is on a Japanese-style futon, which the hotel prepares for you. We went in early February; the snow was thick and the weather was cold. There is a heater in the room provided, so there is no need to use the air conditioner."

"It's so comfortable to live in Otaru~ This time I chose to stay in a B&B in Otaru and experience the life of locals 1️⃣Stay in the small suite on the second floor. It is very spacious. You can feel that the owner of the B&B has put a lot of effort in decorating it. It is clean and bright. 2️⃣ The service is very considerate! They will introduce the public areas of the big house in detail, as well as the supplies prepared in the room 3️⃣ From bedding to toiletries and towels, everything is very comfortable. Bread and milk were prepared when checking in, which is very considerate~ 4️⃣ Location: 3 minutes by taxi from the observatory, very close. After taking photos, you can go to the Otaru Aquarium to watch penguins walk and have a seafood lunch. It's really perfect. 💯 Recommended!!"

"Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Villa was very well kept, with excellent views of the ocean. Pleasantly surprised by complimentary puddings and drinks. Manual grinder and coffee beans were a nice touch. Cons: Unable to drive directly to the villa due to safety policy. This made loading/unloading luggage very inconvenient. The walk to the carpark required negotiating a slippery gravel slope, which was even more dangerous in low-light conditions. Recommend to improve this with proper stairs or paved pathway."
