"I stay in this exceptionnel lodge with my daughters in august 2023 for one night ... and I will come back as soon as possible. You have to drive 25 km before arriving at he lodge, build on the hill: with a 360° view on the wild! I recommand the feeding of lion's and other "big cats" ... impressive! The staff is there, smiling and so pretty! The owner of the lodge will guide you for discovering the place ... to do! Thank you very much!"

Village Boutique Hotel ★★★

📍 56 B1, Otjiwarongo

"Did 2 week tour of Namibia and this was by far the BEST hotel. I never do reviews on the basis that if its good keep it to yourself so that the place does not become so popular that its full the next time you want to stay .As this was my last of 3 visits to Namibia I will not be returning due to advanced old age and I am happy to make an exception. Good luck Village Boutique ==stopped for a coffee and stayed overight."

The restaurant is also frequented by locals and is really recommendable. There are not only pizza, burgers and steaks, also wild foods. Breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. "

Mount Etjo Safari Lodge ★★★

📍 P.O.Box 81, Otjiwarongo

"The hotel is beautiful and staying there was quite nice. We did the half day game drive (PM) which included sundowner and we highly recommend it. The staff service though was a mix, some were very nice and others seemed like they were not enjoying their job much, which of course didn’t feel so good. In general it was good value for money."

Waterberg Wilderness - One Namibia ★★★

📍 D 2512, Waterberg, Otjiwarongo

"It is a beautiful spot, quiet and secluded. However, it is could be much better if they just take more care on their food and beverage. The restaurant is cold, boring….. no pleasant lighting, no music, no camp fire etc."

Waterberg Guest Farm ★★★

📍 C22 - 582 Farm Okosongomingo, Otjiwarongo

"We stayed in one of the chalets, with a beautiful full window view of the Waterberg. The central lappa area is very inviting and the staff really helpful and kind. We walked/scrambled up the hill on the path which also gave really good views of the whole Waterberg area, and my partner went horse riding,- amongst the cattle and along dry river beds. Harry Schneider also takes an active interest in his customers which I thought sums up the farm. "

"We were warmly welcomed by the owners and taken on a very special safari tour on their property. The room (little house) was excellent with a screened veranda. The three course meal and the breakfast were also excellent."

Cest Si Bon Hotel ★★★
"Half of our party was in a family room and it was next to the pool with shaded tables right in front. That part of the hotel was really nice, and we did enjoy our evening here. There is also a playground here for the kids. The other rooms were quite far around the back. That part is more like a motel where you park your car in front of the room. You are right next to each other with 50 or so rooms, so you hear everyone around you come home all night long. As it's a big place, there is quite some noise from that. Also, the people across the road face each other, so you have to constantly have the curtains closed. Then in the morning around 8.30 the water was just randomly turned off without any warning. Luckily, we had an early start and I had already showered. Breakfast service was quite slow. Some tables had butter, others didn't. There was one egg station and for such a big hotel it just wasn't enough. Also, little birds were running around in between the food that was out. It might be fine for a bigger party as you can get loads of rooms and it has the restaurant attached but we found it too big."

"Absolutely wonderful location right in the middle of Namibia lodge is outstanding in hospitality. There’s many many animals just all over. The game drives are wonderful. The food is super tasty. The stuff tries to help you wherever it’s possible. The rooms are spacious bedding is comfortable. It’s been here since 50 years and you feel the knowledge of care for the animals. There is a rhino health center connected, which is a wonderful thing absolutely recommendable great for a stop to etosha"
