Mediterranean Princess- Adults Only
"Mediterranean Princess Katerini Paralia Both flights and transfers went flawlessly, even though the transfer from airport to hotel is about 1 HR 10min these were by private air-conditioned taxis. This hotel is definitely worthy of it's 4 star rating, the decor is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We booked full board plus and were not disappointed. The hotel is for adults only and about 1.5 to 2km in each direction from both towns. The Hotel staff could not be more helpful and are all polite and friendly, in the restaurant Elli, Christian, Elina, Garifalia, Viola in bar and restaurant, reception Konstantinos. The meals are buffet style with great variety always fresh and hot as well as a good cold selection and if you like pastries these are to die for. The drinks selection covers anything you require at anytime during stipulated times of 10am 22pm. appart from some speciality drinks. You can ask for bottled water to take if you go walking and take drinks back to your room. The pools are spotless and there are plenty of sun loungers around, with excellent pool bar service, clean towels are provided from reception on return if required each day. We had a room with pool and sea view, which was upgraded when we arrived, the rooms are spacious and spotless, the bed linen and towels are changed on request. The room has fridge with tea and coffee making facilities, however they do not have milk in the rooms, because of limited use by dates and the temperature. This is not a problem as you can ask at the bar or reception for bottled water and cartons of milk. The beach is just a little over 5 minutes walk from the hotel with it's own deck chairs and umbrellas. There was a singing Duo on for two nights during our 7 night stay."
Olympus Thalassea Hotel
Regina Mare Hotel
"We really enjoyed our stay at Regina Mare – right in the center of Paralia, very clean and well-maintained, with friendly staff. Breakfast was nice and more than enough. A great place to stay – we’d happily come back."
Hotel Strass
"Everything fine until the glass door of the shower broke into pieces when my girlfriend wanted to get out of the shower. She got multiple cuts all over her body, got a shard in her back, if it was a good secure glass it would not break like that. From here the nightmare starts, the girl at the reception brought a medical kit, but here injuries were above that, she was the only one who cared. Then we went with the manager to the doctor. The manager clearly knew him and talked to him, the doctor cleared the cuts, took a shard from her back and he lied that she didn't have any, I have photos of him extracting the glass from her back. He mentioned leg injury to cover the hotel's fault, instead of mentioning her cuts. The manager didn't even knew what happened and instantly blamed us for the glass breaking. In the morning they told us that we will talk after breakfast, we ate and came to talk. We wanted to settle the issue and there was no talk, the options they gave us was we either pay the damage or they call the police. The police officers came, started to talk in Greek, so we did not understand anything. I insisted to talk in English so it would be fair for both parties. The police told us we either pay half and half or sue each other and went away. The staff didn't clean the glass, although they told us they will. They did after 12 and a half hours later, only after insisting many times. They did clean the room so we could take a shower and use the toilet. They left the glass for the police to see, the police didn't care to see neither the glass nor the wounds my girlfriend suffered, not to mention the emotional stress we went through. Total lack of empathy. We talked to our country's consul and lawyer and they said it is not our fault and that we should demand damages for what happened to us. The manager said we will talk the next morning when we were supposed to check out and we will sue each other then. After a day of stress and calls, we were called in the morning from the front desk telling us that the manager and owner was waiting downstairs with the lawyer. I saw it as intimidation. I told him we will not pay anything and that he will talk with our consul in Greece. After the talk, the consul said they will receive a call from a lawyer so they can talk from lawyer to lawyer. In the meantime, his wife came, they were four people and we said why are you four and us only two, we said that our two friends should be with us as well. In that moment the owner/manager started yelling at us, saying what will our friend do to us? We tried to explain it would just be fair. He got up and started yelling at us, swearing at us in many ways in Greek. Making ugly remarks about Romanian people, half the hotel were Romanians so he was swearing at the people who put food on his table. He started to be very aggressive, both him and his father, I thought he was going to punch my friend because he was very aggressive but his wife stopped him, his father pulled"
Porto Del Sol Hotel
Mistral Hotel
"For 100 euros a night, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at at such a price... breakfast insufficient... salamaki kaseraki juice and some bad time sausage rolls... I have these at home too... after 5 pm the hotel is like an abandoned staff in the bar there is no staff and in general if you need something from the kitchen there is no staff to serve you....an employee at the reception only nothing else...in the room poor soundproofing we hear everything, dirty covers and torn curtain .The maids are kind and very willing to help, thank you very much ladies!"
Mediterranean Resort
"We enjoyed the seaside service, it was good but the price of the sunbed rental was not shown anywhere, so we were not sure about the cost. Card payment is possible and you get complimentary snacks for your beer. Some of the sunbeds have little nails stuck in them, and you can get hurt easily."
