Clean, looks antique yet the facilities are very modern. Warm enough for about 0 degree weather. Nice and comfort stay for all ages from child to elderly. Cooking utensils are well equipped that would be very sufficient for self cooking breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended.

Actually great amenities which are not really listed but you’ll get towels, slippers and pyjamas. They have toiletries by the reception. There is a small onsen as well! Check in is only from 5 pm but you can leave your luggage at the reception downstairs

On my second night, I discovered the soundproofing was terrible. There was a bunch of 'monsters' in the room next door – it sounded like people from several rooms had gathered, chatting loudly, opening and closing doors constantly, and laughing and shouting hysterically. This went on for a long time. By past midnight, I couldn't take it anymore and went down to the front desk. I was worried there wouldn't be anyone at the front desk, but there were two gentlemen on duty. They told me a sports team had checked in that day and were probably just overexcited. I told them they either needed to talk to them or I'd have to change rooms. The front desk staff went up and knocked on their door, greeting the group (signaling me to go back to my room first). Not long after, the group finally dispersed. The hotel service was still very good. Running into those ******* was just bad luck for me. Next time I encounter a similar unexpected situation, I definitely shouldn't think, 'I'll just bear it, maybe they'll finish soon.' I should go down immediately and seek help from the front desk. I'm curious, which country do those selfish, loud people who disturb others in the middle of the night come from? The hotel breakfast is complimentary and included by default with the room booking. Although simple, it's completely filling. The restaurant is also open during the day for relaxation and offers free drinks.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms were really special in their own ways. The one I stayed in was relatively spacious for Japan standards, and the views of the sea were stunning. Amenities were adequate, sheets and pillows smell fresh and clean. They provide pyjamas as well! The highlights of this hotel is the super spacious, clean and new bathroom with a tub that automatically fills itself to 42 degrees Celsius water as well as the back door of the hotel leads directly to the private beach area that is quiet and peaceful. Not to forget the restaurant area with beautiful views as well! Service was friendly, English was minimal but good enough. Location is slightly inaccessible without a car but the quiet surrounding makes up for it.

The room was quite spacious and had a nice view. It's very close to the station, just a three-minute walk. However, it's worth noting that the hotel is on the east side of the JR station, which is a bit quieter. The west side of the JR station is much livelier, with more dining options and better transport links.

The room was clean and the facilities were complete. The front desk gentleman was warm and polite to take me to the room. The location was not far from Wakayama Jr. The downside was that there was no elevator and it was not suitable for girls with large luggage.

Polite and approachable staff. Please provide baskets to put the shampoo, conditioner cups, and other supplies in so that it's easier to bring to our rooms. There's no microwave to heat food. Wouldn't it be great to put one microwave on every floor? But overall, a great stay for its price and location near the station and Wakayama Castle! 😊

It is very convenient to buy and eat at the nearby convenience store supermarket. The room is large and the bathroom is large, and the toiletries are complete to even the curling stick! The kettle said that the insulation can be kept warm for one night, not to mention that it is so cheap not far from the station! I will only live here on the West Line in the future. ps: This ideal hotel comes from a 40-generation hotel that has lived in various large and small Japanese hotels in a variety of sizes and sizes. I was on a relaxing solo trip, but I was a little disappointed with the way I was treated. When I tried to enter the coffee space next to the front desk, the front desk staff treated me like a suspicious person, which ruined my enjoyable trip. I was there for 3 nights and 4 days, but it was traumatic and I was disappointed that I didn't get to go to the coffee lounge even once. I think they should have been more accommodating. Other than that, it was perfect.

I had planned to go to the Expo, but Osaka city is expensive, and I'd never been to Wakayama, so I chose this hotel near Wakayamashi Station with the intention of exploring Wakayama Castle. All the amenities were provided, but it was a shame that there were no slippers. There was also coffee and a water server in the lobby. The building is a bit old, but for the price and quality, I guess that's understandable. I would recommend this hotel for anyone mainly planning on sightseeing.
