The staff was very friendly, accommodating and provided exceptional service. We requested a room change which was promptly addressed and were very pleased with the new room. The 3rd floor pool area was very nice with plenty of loungers and clean towels. Although, a weekly noontime schedule to purchase beverages and food at the pool would have been welcomed. We would like to acknowledge exceptional and friendly service from Graciela F. and Adriana C. They made our stay very enjoyable! "Located in Old Town Pasadena, the hotel is within walking distance of various restaurants and shops, including popular brands like Arc'teryx and Lululemon. Be aware that clothing stores tend to close quite early. It's less than a 20-minute drive to Trader Joe's and Costco, and about half an hour to downtown Los Angeles, Universal Studios, the Natural History Museum, and the California Science Center. There are homeless people in Old Town, but they generally keep to themselves, are not aggressive, and won't bother you. The hotel facilities are decent. They provide bath towels and soap, an ice bucket, a coffee maker, and a mini-fridge, but no electric kettle. Also, note that American mineral water bottle openings are different from those in China, so if you're bringing an instant portable hot water dispenser, be aware of this. Basic housekeeping is done daily, and bath towels are replaced every day. Parking is $35 a day; you get a code for in/out access, and the charge is added to your bill at checkout. If you plan to be out early and back late, nearby public parking lots are a very close and cheaper alternative at $12 a day. Service is typical American style: polite, but not particularly attentive. The billing process was a bit confusing, but there were no actual errors in the charges. Ctrip's follow-up service, however, deserves praise. Finally, a correction regarding Ctrip's information: children aged 12 and above are charged full price for breakfast, which is $20 per person. The breakfast quality is actually quite good, offering excellent value for money, especially for California. Oatmeal is also available. P.S. Definitely avoid buying water from the front desk – it's outrageously expensive at $4 a bottle. You can get it much cheaper at the gas station next door, or drive 10-15 minutes to Costco to grab a case."

"We are utterly smitten with Hotel Dena - it has exceeded all our expectations for an artistic, pristine, and laid-back boutique hotel. The hotel was freshly renovated just last year, so every single amenity and piece of equipment is impressively modern. We were arranged in a first-floor ”small loft” room complete with a private balcony - undoubtedly one of the highlights of our entire trip. The hotel's decor is nothing short of captivating, with a cinematic ambiance evident throughout the common areas. From the impeccably styled furniture to the mesmerizing artwork and paintings, every design element contributes to an utterly enchanting atmosphere. In fact, I would unhesitatingly award Dena a rating of 6 out of 5 stars to fully convey my deep adoration for this establishment. If we're ever blessed with the opportunity to visit Los Angeles again, Dena will unquestionably be our top choice. 🌹🌹🌹"

"I was very satisfied with my stay at the Westin Pasadena this time! The hotel is in a great location, with convenient surrounding restaurants, shops, and attractions. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The front desk and service staff were very friendly, and check-in and check-out were smooth. The overall environment was quiet and relaxing, and the service was meticulous and thoughtful. It was a very pleasant stay experience, highly recommended!"

"The hotel is in the style of an ordinary American moto hotel. Each room has a huge fan for cooling and heating. The only advantage is convenience. There is a whole foods across the street and the subway station is half a block away. It is very convenient for shopping, eating and everything else. The bathroom and washbasin in the room are very bright, but the hair dryer is the one hanging on the wall. I went to the front desk to remind them, and they said it didn't matter. I don't know if the extra 10 or so on the deposit in the end was related to this... The hotel's breakfast is really disappointing. It doesn't have the basic American standard. In the end, I had to heat up the takeaway in the evening for breakfast... As for the service, the service for Asians is really mediocre. On the contrary, the few with Western faces may be from Lao Mo Bar, but they are not bad. Check in early and check out very quickly. It's okay if you can stay for a day or two and are not picky."

"The room was very clean and well-planned. The nearby shopping mall and the city hall are within walking distance. The hotel breakfast was not very varied but basically everything was available. Paper cups were also provided for take-away coffee or tea. The only downside was that the shower faucet could not be hand-held. The hotel also charged the room fee twice, which was refunded immediately after communicating with Ctrip customer service. Overall, I was quite satisfied."

"The business trip schedule changed, so I booked this hotel at short notice. The price was not low. I was a little surprised when I found it was a motel. Fortunately, after checking in, I felt that the hygiene was OK. It was relatively clean and I could drive my car to the door of the room. Overall, it was OK."
