"Receptionist complained that she had not received payment from Trip and had emailed to chase payment. Arrangements between the hotel and booking company should not involve guests and the hotel should not be complaining to guests. Majority of staff just looked miserable apart from young guy behind the bar. Such a gorgeous hotel set in a beautiful location in stunning grounds, it's a shame about the staff. Spoiled our romantic getaway and left a bad taste. Would not stay there again."

"The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was good . There are also two lounges for the use of customers and the hotel is well-situated . Most staff were extremely pleasant , however I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of customer service and the rude attitude of the lady whom I believe is the owner , when I reported a broken tap in my room . She was non-apologetic and dismissive . It took one and a half days for a plumber to come and fix , by which time it was the last evening of our three night stay ."

"A real hidden Gem! We stayed here as a group of family and friends ages 1 - 70 and this house was perfect! It has absolutely everything you could need and there was so much space for all of us. It was especially nice that every room was an en suite, you don’t often find that in these big house rentals. The two hot tubs were just fabulous. Beautiful garden with a gated carpark so that dogs could run around freely. We had booked some catering by the staff - they come in and are your private chefs using the kitchen. They were superb - professional and top quality food. Overall a relaxing holiday in such a quaint little village, and we will definitely be back. Thank you to Beth and the team for making it so special!"
