GGuest UserThe location had great views over the valley, including the early morning sea of cloud. The property has a rooftop lookout that our group could get together to enjoy the view.
It helped that our taxi could drive through the narrow road of Mengben village and deposit us and our luggage on the doorstep of the homestay. This is unlike Wengji & Nuogang villages, where cars are not allowed to enter the village but deposit visitors at the village carpark.
The hospitality of the owner/hostess was remarkable.
She had a Pu'er tea table and made us endless cups of different tea all grown in her farm, explaining their differences and virtues. She did not charge us a cent for the whole experience. Neither did she try to hard sell the tea leaves although we did buy a small amount off her because we enjoyed the tea. She is a good cook and whipped up breakfast and lunch for us.
GGuest UserHighly recommended! I finally found this gem of a B&B. The room amenities are meticulously selected, and it's a high-quality, modern B&B.
The bedding, shoes, toiletries, and hair dryer are all Dyson. The room comes with fruit, snacks, and the latest ancient teas for tasting. The mineral water is Nongfu Spring. It's so relaxing to watch a TV series while sipping tea and eating sunflower seeds. After a long stint in the city, finding comfort here is a great experience.
P.S. The owner personally cooked dinner for our friends from all over the world. It was an incredible feast! His cooking skills are truly outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious!
The young owner also took us to pick tea leaves in his beloved pickup truck. Since we were here, we definitely had to experience the harvest. It was so exciting!
LLisanne SchutReally recommend staying here! We booked this hotel last minute, and were really happy with our stay! We were welcomed with delicious local tea. The hosts helped us rent an electric bike which was perfect for seeing the surrounding villages and ancient tea forests. They were very helpful since we don’t speak any Chinese, but this wasn’t a problem at all. The area is really beautiful and special and Jingmai is one of our favorite places in China so far.
The room itself was spacious, new and very clean. Breakfast was delicious.
GGuest UserThe location of this hotel is really convenient, just next to it, go out and turn right for a short walk and there is a platform suitable for taking pictures, the scenery is very good.
I lived in the room with plenty of lighting and spacious space. The off-season came over and the price was very high.
If you come back next time, you will consider staying here, and I recommend it to friends who want to find accommodation in Lancang ~
TTuotuotuodetuoThe photos were taken during the holidays in the village and at home. This is Captain Lao Dabao's home, also the chairman of Lao Dabao Entertainment Company. He's super nice!
It's very busy, with lots of guests every day, but the chairman is always very kind and even cooks for us himself.
The room was really clean! Although it's an inn, it was very comfortable. We slept in a triple room, which Zhang Yuqi and her friends from Sister Lang had also stayed in before! Hahaha, I've finally stayed in a hotel with celebrities.
MM589556****Five-star review!
This stay was fantastic! The guesthouse is easy to find, right at the village entrance. If you're driving, you can park at the owner's place, which is very convenient.
The owner is a Bulang man, incredibly warm and hospitable. As soon as I entered, he invited me for tea, offering me his own colorful peanuts and black peanuts 🥜 to try. There were also wild thumb-sized bananas and yellow-fleshed guavas—I'd never seen them before! They were fragrant and delicious 😋. I also tried a local specialty, tea insect tea—it looked unappetizing, but the taste was amazing! It was very fragrant and delicious 👍. In the evening, we also drank his homemade corn wine, which was super delicious, smooth and slightly sweet. Listening to him tell Bulang stories felt like visiting an old friend; there was no sense of unfamiliarity at all.
The room was clean and tidy. My favorite part was the large floor-to-ceiling window. I was on the first floor, so the view might not have been the best, but for this price, lying in bed and seeing the blue sky, white clouds, and green trees was so soothing, and the natural light was excellent. The room had disposable towels and disposable toilet seat covers, which is rare in guesthouses and hotels. It was a lifesaver! The owner also took me to the mountains to pick mushrooms and wild chestnuts. The experience was amazing! However, these kinds of activities depend on the owner's mood. I highly recommend it.
HHuaxiaoyuan33The guesthouse is located next to the popular restaurant Qiuyin, and it's run by a husband and wife. The owners are incredibly kind; on my first day, they took me to their friend's house for rice noodles, cold noodles, and chicken feet—it was such a warm and welcoming experience. The house was very clean, and I slept very well. The next day, they took me to their tea garden to see the tea trees and the parasitic crab claws, and even gave me directions so I could explore at my own pace. They even helped me carry my luggage to my car when I left. It was a great place; I recommend it to everyone. It's conveniently located near the Octagonal Pagoda for watching the sunrise and sunset.

GGuest UserThe owner is really nice and provides pick-up and drop-off service. If you need anything, you can ask them; they are very welcoming. Our room had a smart toilet and air conditioning, which was quite comfortable. It was also very clean. The bed was soft, and the view from the window was beautiful. I've attached a few pictures from my pleasant time at the owner's place – it was lovely!
GGuest UserI was pleasantly surprised to find this guesthouse so easily. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Most importantly, the view from the guesthouse was fantastic. The owner was incredibly kind, constantly inviting us to tea and chat, making our trip very enjoyable. A must-try! 😄
