"Villa Antica Colonia is a very special place, owned by Monica and run by her dedicated staff, Marisa and Olinella. We stayed on the top floor in Casa Elda, named in honor of Monica's mom, who together with her father, really transformed the property in the 1950s. Today, it is a beautiful, modern facility that blends perfectly into its historic building and environs. We spent four nights at the Villa. Elda has wrap-around 180 degree views of Lake Orta and a great balcony on which to enjoy the views. Incredibly beautiful. The suite (huge) was clean and the kitchen, which we used extensively, was equipped with everything you would need. Breakfasts arrive at your door each morning. Such wonderful, plentiful fresh food and ingredients. I had a wonderful 90 minute treatment in the Villa's spa, run by Denise. She is special, so knowledgable about connection between mind/body. I would highly recommend a massage/treatment with her while there. Only kudos. Amazing place and staff"
