The reason we booked this hotel was because on their website it states that they are close to the airport. That is an untrue statement that they are making on their website. It took over a half hour to get To the airport & they made it sound like they were 10-15 minutes away, which is not a true statement. That was very disappointing. Other than that, the hotel was very nice, food average, the staff was very pleasant, and helpful. They did do an extra charge if you get a taxi from them, versus getting your own taxi, and that would be cheaper so be careful about that. The language barrier is a little difficult. They try very hard but it still is a bit of an issue.
We had a delightful stay at Laya Resort. The hotel's aesthetics were truly stunning, and our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering friendly and polite service throughout our visit.
While the location was a bit distant from popular tourist spots, we found the peace and quiet refreshing after busy days exploring the area. The only drawback during our stay was the limited variety in the breakfast offerings; the meal was repetitive and we got tired of it after a few days. However, we understand that the hotel is new and still building its clientele, which might affect the range of options they can provide.
In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Laya Resort and would recommend it to others looking for a tranquil, beautiful place to stay, as long as they don't mind a bit of a commute to explore the city's main attractions.

It's really a good hotel. It depends on what you need. I prefer to stay in hotels, so it's more suitable for me. The room is cleaned twice a day. Although the facilities are a little old, there is no smell. It is much better than the hotels in Sanya. The dehumidifier is really necessary. The room is close to the sea and the humidity is high! There are many activities in the hotel, such as jungle leaping, paddle boarding, yoga, rock climbing, etc.! There is a brand new innovative Thai restaurant Dara that also gave me a lot of surprises, and the dishes are unique. The astronomical telescope on the second floor is also a great experience, but it's a pity that the weather is bad and you can't see many stars! Overall, it's a place suitable for stopping and savoring slowly. It's a place I love to brush twice!
The price is not high, one word to describe it, expensive!! Food, accommodation, and transportation are all expensive. It is a tourist destination, but it is also expensive. Renting a car for 10 kilometers costs more than 100 yuan, 20 kilometers costs 210 yuan, 2 bowls of noodles, 2 glasses (1/3) of wine). More than 500 yuan. A slightly rich meal for two people costs 2,000 yuan. The facilities and environment are OK
We absolutely love the Pavilions and will definitely return! We stayed here for one night to celebrate our honeymoon/anniversary since we couldn’t travel due to the pandemic. Special shout-out to Anthony for his warm welcome, tour of the facilities and our pool villa. The team had prepared beautiful decorations, cut fruit and cake on arrival for our celebration.
The location is a little away from the beach but if you want privacy and to be pampered, this is the place to be! Definitely recommend the spa - it is a must!! Our booking included a 1 hour massage which was a very, very pleasant surprise. If you stay at the villa, you will need to call for a buggy to take you around. We had dinner at the Firefly Restaurant and we enjoyed everything and also the live music by the pool!!
We will be back~ thank you for the perfect getaway, Pavilions!!
I decided to spend my birthday time with friends at this hotel, the price is not cheap and I have informed the front desk about these things. I understand the condition of being kind and respecting other guests by not making any noise. I never do that, we only speak and drink no music playing but the way the security of the hotel looked at us was disrespectful and impolite since we are all ladies over 35 years old not a girl who is under the control of her father. Keep reminding and checking many times when we did nothing wrong, disturbing our time and mental health.
It is not the value of money and I would not go again for life.
A family of 5 stayed here for 6 days, the hotel location is a bit remote, but the distance from the airport is still moderate. The hotel's price/performance ratio is relatively high, and the electricity fee needs to be paid at 5 baht for 1 degree. We spent 3.6 RMB on six days of electricity. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the nearest VILLA market and 7-11 convenience store. The hotel staff can drive you to the supermarket for free (limited to 5 pm every day). If you want someone to shop, you need to buy something faster. (10-20 minutes), you need to take a taxi back when you have a long time. If you have a Chinese driver's license, you can rent a car from the hotel because the taxi on the island is super expensive and you can't get a car. The car is 1,500 baht a day (the oil has already filled you up, you can sit for 5 people.) If you want BBQ, you can also rent a grill to the hotel (1000 baht a day). The hotel will arrange cleaning every other day to help you change the basic wash. Wait for supplies, will also help you wash the kitchen. There are 2 young ladies and 1 little brother at the front desk of the hotel. 3 people are on duty in the morning and evening, and 3 people are very friendly. I don't speak Chinese, and the English level is very good. If you have trouble communicating with other local Thai speakers, you can use English to help the front desk to help you communicate with others. Overall, the price is very high, and the living is quite satisfactory. I will consider staying here later!
