"For our anniversary, we decided to spend a couple of nights in the Poconos and chose Milford's John H. Wallace House. It was an incredible experience! The hosts John and Linda have truly thought of every detail to make this bed and breakfast cozy, elegant, and welcoming. The house is spotless and modern while preserving charming historical features like original fireplaces and plank floors. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and unforgettable. They provided recommendations for outdoor activities, historical sites, and local restaurants. The house is walking distance to shops and restaurants and an easy drive to many trails and parks. John prepared several breakfast options each morning, and they were absolutely perfect. On the first morning, we ate on the patio, but when it was unseasonably chilly the next morning, Linda beautifully set the dining room table for us! John and Linda were incredibly warm and made us feel like friends instead of just guests at their inn. We definitely plan to come back and will happily recommend the John H. Wallace House to our friends and family! Donna and Scott"

"The room is as charming and bougie as it can be! I love the decor, the layout, the coziness, and the comfort. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated a covered overhang outside the door as it was raining when I arrived and departed which enabled me to deal with the door without getting rained on. What to keep in mind - there is no staff on site so if you have any issues, you will spend your evening texting back and forth instead of relaxing. They do try to address issues from afar (they do not leave you hanging out to dry) but when there is a person, you can get resolution in a more compact timeframe. At a certain point with texting, I am tired of the back and forth and I just want to either watch a little TV, read a book or go to bed. If you want HVAC that you can control, better make appropriate inquiries ahead of time. The HVAC of some rooms are connected to others which takes away one's independent control (ask me how I know)."
