"I first learned about Xiadi Village from the introduction of the Pioneer Bookstore, and decided to visit during my vacation. The village is very rustic, but the female receptionists at the guesthouses spoke in a strange and unpleasant way, making the experience less than ideal. Visiting here should feel like returning to one's hometown, but the guesthouse staff were cold and indifferent, making us feel like we were just on a tourist attraction. So, what I want to say is that if the guesthouses in this village don't offer the warmth and hospitality of family, it's better to just visit during the day and check off your list. Last time I saw Lin Zhenglu's excellent overall planning for Pingnan; he visited Gantang, Longtan, Siping, and Jitou. The guesthouse I had the best experience with was in Gantang. The owner was warm, friendly, and chatted with us, making us feel at home. The feeling of returning home was different. The little flower shop at Longtan 47 Trees had a bohemian vibe, but it was aloof and slow to warm up. The short-haired hostess at Xiadi Senke B&B, however, lacked both that bohemian vibe and the homely warmth of a place to return to. She spoke strangely; thinking back, she must have mistaken us for tourists. Being from out of town, she didn't understand the significance of returning to a village deep in the mountains of Pingnan. I don't think I'll go back. It didn't evoke the same nostalgic charm I felt after leaving Gantang, like the chatter of the female manager, or the longing I felt after leaving Longtan 47 Trees, like returning when the persimmons ripen and it snows. If an ancient village, after restoration, still feels cold and impersonal, then such a village-style B&B won't last. Something to ponder..."

There are obvious long hair under the blocked net and anti-slip rubber pads in the shower room. When there are not many guests, they still can't clean every day. The bathroom space is too small, the cockroach can be used by one person, and the dry area lacks towel racks and clothes hooks. The door cannot be fixed after opening, and the cockroach can plug slippers under the door. No tea bags or bottled water were provided during the residence period. This homestay has no meals, there are two restaurants nearby, and there is no breakfast shop. The interior is very beautiful and has a sense of design, but because the price of this homestay is higher, the expectations are also higher, and there may be more problems. Parking is very convenient, you can park next to the roadside steps."

"I made a last-minute decision to travel to Pingnan for the May Day holiday. Other popular guesthouses were incredibly expensive, but I stumbled upon this Tianping Courtyard by chance. Since I was driving, I figured I didn't mind staying a bit further away, so I booked it. It turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The guesthouse environment was absolutely beautiful, and the location was fantastic. It's only a ten-minute drive from the county town, and most other villages are about a half-hour drive away, which is super convenient. There's absolutely no need to stay in those popular villages; you can just visit those places for the sights. It's all about staying in a comfortable and quiet place! Plus, this place is actually closer to Baishuiyang and Yuanyangxi than other popular villages like Xiadi Village and Tangkou Village. The owner is also very laid-back and easygoing."
