"The road to the resort is awful, the extremely isolated spot is in a ***** landscape of abandoned fields of burned straw. Car park is unattended, outside the property, on a public road. Our 400 euros classic room is very small and simply furnished, with no windows and bad wi-fi connection. The lack of TV is intentionally considered a plus. In the restaurant, international staff can be reassuring for the typical foreign guest, but they cannot be able to offer and share with empathy the real flavour of the Sicilian menu. In the middle of the dinner we were forgotten, empty dishes lingered on the table, then we abruptly decided to leave and go to sleep. If you look for a peaceful retreat in Sicily, it's very easy to find a lot better for a much less..."

"This is really a beautiful place. We stayed here for just one night and were so sad that we couldn't stay longer (we tried, but they were sold out). We were greeted with a welcome cocktail while they moved our luggage into the room and then we enjoyed a leisurely lunch in their lovely dining room. Afterwards, we got to sample their freshly made tomato sauce (hot from the steaming pan - super cool). We spent some time sitting around the pool in the late afternoon and finished the evening with a delicious dinner. Dreaming of the day we can return and stay a little longer. "
