"Beautiful resort set right on the beach. Their club restaurant jets out in the sea. It was nice and windy when we went. We ordered lobster linguine , T bone steak, grilled octopus n grilled lobster. Everything was fine except for the lobster that was very dry . The staff need more training as half the table was not set properly. Also very forgetful bar staff. Overall it was a nice experience. We also had 2 pinacolados and a bottle of white wine and the bill came to $ 165, which is very reasonable"

"I went with my family of 12 people to Azao Resort, the hotel was abserloutly beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The hotel had a lot of entertainment stuff, and the pools are huge. The staff was abserloutly amazing - so friendly , so helpful and very polite. The food (from breakfast, lunch & dinner) was so tasty, and food was plentiful. They even had a barbeque evening over looking the beach. They had 2 guys that's danced almost every night for dinner and had the crowd going. The rooms were very nice and clean. If you want a quiet, tranquil holiday, I will definitely recommend Azao to you. Thank you "

"ROBBED WHILE ASLEEP IN ROOM AT NIGHT I stayed at Karibu Beach resort with my partner from 20 June 2025 to 24 June 2025. On 21 June 2025, or the early morning of 22 June 2025, burglars entered our room while we were asleep, stole our two laptops, two iphones, leather laptop bag, and gold jewellery. Our phones were on our beds, in between myself and my partner, so the burglars must have made their way onto the bed. We think the burglars burnt something, or otherwise dosed us, so that they could work their way through our room easily. It appears also that the burglars knew their away around the room, as they were able to move around quietly while in total dark. It is likely that the burglars were able to walk in and out of the hotel with our goods, and there seems to have been almost no security patrolling. The hotel alleges that the burglars somehow jumped the wall, but this seems implausible. It is a high wall, and there were no discernible marks left on the wall in the morning. The hotel did not show us the video footage. Strangely, they found our keys immediately outside the front entrance. The hotel assured us that they would reimburse the value of our goods. However, less than an hour before we were due to depart, they said they would only give us a fraction of the value, and accused us of dishonesty about the items stolen. This was clearly false. We had provided proof of the devices stolen. The hotel also demanded that we sign a non-disclosure agreement. We did not understand on what basis the hotel could try hold us hostage in this way. We said we would not sign the NDA, particularly for the amount offered, and suggested we settle for a different figure (still less than the total value of our goods). They refused and said they would now provide us with nothing."

"My husband and I came to pongwe lodge on the 25th September 2024 for my birthday meal and wow it did not disappoint, we booked a private meal with hotel pick up and drop off. Everything was seamless and amazing thanks to Frank on reception and Regina our waitress. "After doing a safari in Tanzania, we were so looking forward to our stay at Pongwe Beach hotel. It did not disappoint, it is a beautiful and peaceful beach hotel and we had a very comfortable beach side room. The staff were extremely attentive and made a real fuss of me on my special birthday. The views across to the turquoise sea from the infinity pool were stunning. We spent a lot of time on the beach too and it was incredible to see how the landscape changed with the tide. We enjoyed walking along the beach looking for shells and loved watching the crabs and starfish. If you want to get away from it all, relax and eat excellent food, this hotel will give you all that and more. You have to get up for the sunrise - it's so worth it!"
