"I stayed in a semi-self catering unit closest to the beach. The unit is spacious and can accomodate 4 people. There are smaller room options as well. The units are cleaned daily and the bedding are changed daily as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, overall the place have good vibes. No crockery, cutlery etc. in units and this is clearly communicated when you book. A few steps to the beach with a restaurant on site. "

"The staff at Ponta Mar have ZERO professionalism. I booked our stay with Candido for 4 days and we agreed that breakfast and dinner will be included in the final price. During our stay, we were expected to pay for dinner as Candido did not process our booking correctly and he refused to take any responsibility for anything that he may have done. We ended up going out of our budget because of the incompetence and lack of professionalism. Furthermore, the waiters and waitresses at the restaurant have no clue what they are doing! We were given 3 menu's of which we were given no context and every time we ask about a specific item on the menu, the waiters laugh and have to go and ask someone for clarity. Our breakfast was always cold and we would wait for close to an hour for our food to be prepared. this shows that there was no training whatsoever! Our showers and bathroom basins were not cleaned properly. We are extremely disappointed with the customer service we received at this place and we would never visit again or recommend it to anyone else. If you're going on vacation to Maputo/Ponta De Ouro, DON'T GO TO PONTA MAR RESORT!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!"
