"This hotel was a nightmare - arrived in room which was very small and the bathroom ceiling was leaking - called reception up and Basil Fawlty arrived. He said we would be ok as it was the people upstairs showering and as we would be gone in the morning it would only leak if they showered again! Has to be better than this in Pontevedra."

"We stayed for one night in this hotel on our Camino walk. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable and just what you need after a long trek. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The little cafe on the ground floor was a real contribution, for snacks etc. The breakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from. Would certainly stay there again. Thank you."

"The hotel is located in an old local building, which I later discovered while strolling around was near a former shipyard along the coast, with a small square next door containing a monument to Columbus. This perfectly matched my travel theme of following Columbus and the Age of Exploration. I was very satisfied with the hotel's location. The hotel rooms were rather old and poorly soundproofed. In the middle of the night, my neighbor called me asking me to turn the TV down, even though I wasn't using the TV and had been using a small speaker every night for almost a month. I was surprised to receive a complaint here. The rooms didn't provide any water or coffee, but the atmosphere in the hotel's coffee bar, facing the garden, was quite pleasant. The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the town's old streets, just a few minutes' walk away. It's also very close to the river for a stroll. Overall, the location of this state-owned hotel is excellent, with constantly changing scenery throughout the hotel grounds, making it perfect for taking photos."

"Clean, modern rooms (though a bit on the small side) with comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast on the lower level. This hotel is in a zone that's accessible by car and it was about a mile walk from the area where most of the restaurants are concentrated. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but with tired feet from the Camino, we would have liked staying closer by. (Not the fault of the hotel, of course; just stating this for awareness of travelers considering staying here.) Our room did not have A/C so we slept with windows open and the street noise died down enough at night that it was workable."
