"I have just returned from revisiting this lovely part of Brittany, where we lived for many years. I stayed in the Hotel de Rohan for eight nights and would return happily. The hotel runs on the charm and helpfulness of its delightful staff, who are happy to spend time making arrangements, answering queries, or just finding time for a chat. I was checked in by the charming Micah, but after that usually saw the lovely Veronica or another lady. Teeny was a delight! My room was huge and decorated in calm and restful colours. It was serviced every day, immaculately clean, with a bottle of water refreshed each day. The shower room was large , but I would have like a small handrail within the shower. Although the hotel only serves Breakfast (excellent), one can choose from a small menu of supper dishes which can be heated and served in the room. I found this to be very useful as I didnt necessarily wish to go out again, and a bowl of soup was very welcome. From my hotel it was quite a little walk intot the town centre but very easy. The pavements are wide and even with mobility issues there were no problems. I can recommend the restaurant Le Boeuf qui Fume where I took dinner with an old friend. Altogether it was a delightful place to stay and I hope to return next year."

"Spent a night recently at the start of a Britany cycling vacation. Very central , our room looked into the napoleonic Plaza. Being a Monday it was busy with the local market where we got great fruit. The room was large and very clean , also the bathroom was larger than usual for European hotels,with windows and with a great shower. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful, we used Spanish since their English is limited. The hotel has a great backyard /garden where you can relax under the trees and feel isolated from the noise of the town."
