"Myself and my partner stopped for a night on route to elsewhere, we’ve never had an issue with premier inn before so we’re expecting the same level as other locations. There was no staff around upon check in, just a machine for self check in which was pretty simple for us to use. Originally entering the room we didn't find anything out of the ordinary but later found stains on the bedding including the spare pillows in the room We paid £27.99 for a 2 course dinner + breakfast each which we thought was reasonable for the amount you’d get. We ordered one chicken dish in which my partner asked to double up the meat (an option on the menu) however one small chicken breast was received. The other main was a cheese&bacon burger which according to the menu comes with salad, sauce plus chips and coleslaw on plate - the burger itself did not have salad or sauce but was instead a stale bun, a bland patty with cheese and one strip of bacon accompanied with no coleslaw and a small handful of chips. We ordered a Sundae Sharer for dessert in which we were presented with a tiny sundae and when questioned the server didnt know what we ordered as it wasn’t consistent staff taking orders and bringing plates. We didn't even have a moment to discuss the issues as plates were dropped to the table and staff immediately walked off & stood around chatting to each other. In the morning we went for breakfast which after the night before we weren't expecting much. While waiting to be seated, another guest said to one of the workers no cold drinks were available (there was still over an hour of breakfast left at this point) to which we witnessed a staff member turn around, clearly ignoring the issue and mutter “tough” under her breath before walking off Overall, this is one premier in we won’t be returning to in a hurry (if at all)"

"A great location if touring the area. Close by are supermarkets, coffee shop and artisan bakery selling great sandwiches and sausage rolls. Fairly new building, clean. Plenty of free parking. I booked an accessible room with twin beds. The room has very basic facilities including two hard chairs which were not comfortable to relax on for any time, a small workspace, a TV and a rail to hang clothes on. It had very effective Air Conditioning which was welcome as I visited during the heatwave of June 2026. The twin beds were awful. Small, like child-sized, and not suitable for a large built man. They were also very, very low, which I could not easily raise myself up from. I had to put the two chairs nearby so I could use them to yank myself up from the bed. The mattresses were also too soft. I know it's down to personal preference but I need a firm mattress and a higher bed. I did not sleep at all well. I ended up leaving after the second night, even though I'd paid for three. The bathroom was OK with rails around the toilet and shower area with pull down seat if needed. It was a wet room and the floor was drenched after a shower, which felt unsafe. I opted for the unlimited breakfast, which was excellent and fairly good value, and had an evening meal which was OK. All the staff were friendly and helpful."

Premier Inn Poole Centre (Holes Bay) Hotel ★★★

"Premier Inn has been going down in standards for a while but this was the worst yet. Expensive and very poor service. The bed gave us both a bad back to start with. We only had one towel in the bathroom. When I spoke to reception to say no one had been in our room to replenish tea etc ( which was sparce anyway), I was told I had to request these services. Then on Sunday we went for dinner to be told we should have booked and would have to wait an hour. We watched x8 couples/ families told the same and turned away,even although there were many tables free and staff standing around. The food was dire when they eventually got the order right. Everything looked dirty and run down. Worst experience ever."
