"Nice cozy place, very quiet. Great staff and excellent service. Owner said it's under under new management. Rooms were fully equipped. Nice warm coffee on cold day and looking at beautiful view out of the window was just perfect. Would definitely revisit"

Glamp Camp

📍 6054 NB-105, Waterborough

"Note that the camp ground is in the woods (not on the lake), although you can walk to/drive to the lake nearby for activities. These would be really lovely with a waterfront view. There are coloured LED strip lights around the inside dome window for ambiance, or while you're out in the hot tub. There is a minisplit, pellet stove and space heater if needed. No oven in the domes, although we assumed and didn't plan for one. Domes are nice, relatively clean. Only 2 pillows (none for the trundle bed or extra for the main bed), no extra blankets. Note that there is no door on the bathroom, just a partition. Make sure your ac/heat is working when you arrive as one of our units the minisplit wasn't working and the dome was stifling hot, but the manager quickly gave us another dome to switch to. There is no opening windows in the domes - I would have liked the door to have the opening screen at least as our dome was somewhat musty - we had to prop the door open an hour or so to air it out, if the bugs aren't bad that's ok. As you're in the woods, make sure to bring bug spray and a machine like a thermocell. We had a fire as well most of the time and they weren't bad. Wood fired hot tubs are nice, although a bit tricky at first. Follow their tips, and start tinkering with the heat up an hour or two before you want to use it the first time, and leave room in the top for extra (cold) water in case you overheat the water (we did the first night). Bring extra cutlery, etc. if you need it, there's just a set of 4 everything in each dome. Domes are nicely set apart (i.e. you have some privacy), and they have a screen in the woods between them as well. Lots of birds, squirrels, and other small wildlife around we enjoyed. Not a far drive to Oromocto, although there's a gas station/liquor store/snack shop only 10 mins out the road."

Jemseg Lakeview Motel ★★
"We booked this motel online because of the location - biggest mistake we've made in a long time! When we arrived the first thing we noticed was that the front of the motel was infested with hornets. The next thing we noticed was that the building was seriously run down and in desperate need of some TLC. We could have overlooked that but there was no overlooking the state of the room - it smelled musty, the floor was dirty, the bathroom was in dire need of upgrading and, the final straw, there were ear whigs crawling on the floor. We asked for our money back (which we were given without hesitation) but it was suggested that I was being hard to get along with and that "it was the country you know". This may have been a nice enough place years ago but it certainly isn't now. Definitely not worth staying regardless of the location."

"Not comfortable, lots of bugs, bad experience overall. Beds were horrible. This is def not a place I would recommend If you are looking for a id glamping experience. The host is also not a nice personal at all. Doesn’t treat people fairly and with respect."
