"On a road trip, we stopped for one night. This location was easy to reach from US 441 in Clayton, GA. We were able to park right outside the room. The personnel were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The room was small but clean. It had two queen beds, a desk with a chair, a side chair with a small table, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a TV. The beds were a little too firm for me, but many perfer firmer beds. The bathroom was very small, with a shower/tub combination and a grab bar in the shower. The toilet was way too short for us 3 senior ladies. Just curious, we measured it. From the toilet seat to the floor was about 19". That seems average. If you're older or have mobility issues, this may be a problem. Also, the 2 story motel does not have an elevator. We requested and received a ground floor unit. There are several restaurants nearby. "

"B&B located literally next to the waterfalls with an active mill where hearty and elegant breakfast was served to us with pastry made from home made using the on-side mill ground flour. Breakfast was served on screen porch with the waterfall view.The hosts Linda and Mike were super friendly and made us feel at home. Our room with waterfall view was perfect to wake up to the sound of cascaded water. This serene atmosphere with only sounds of nature seems to slow down the time and to make all the troubles go away. We definitely will come back here and do highly recommend the Sylvan Falls Mill!"

"This review is late coming because I thought I had already left a review. Maybe I did and it got removed. If this review disappears , I will know. Ok, I made a tee time a week ahead of our planned golfing holiday which was the first Monday in June 2025. Not a word was said to me about the greens being scheduled for aeration. I believe this was intentional after my experience when I got there. We arrived early and noticed plugs laying all over the practice putting green from aeration. I walked over to the 9th green and saw it covered also. I went in to the proshop where the co-manager was working with a helper. The manager told me they were sending everyone off the 10th tee because the greens crew needed time to clean off the front nine. I asked if we could just play the back nine because the front greens were unplayable. He refused using the excuse that we had booked 18 holes. I told him that no one warned me they were aerating the greens when I made the appointment. He didn't care and continued to "strong arm" me into playing 18. I told him we were not playing the front under those conditions , so either allow us to play nine holes or cancel our tee time. He cancelled our tee time rather than take our 9 hole green fees ! Unbelievable ! We left there and drove 30 minutes to Sky Valley in Dillard SC. and had the exact opposite experience which I have reviewed on this site. I have played Kingwood a couple times in the past and had a great experience. This co- manager is the difference between earlier success and this more recent nightmare."
