"I am giving Huttopia Rambouillet two stars for the following reasons. I hope they're helpful to anyone who takes the time to read through them. I'm sorry if this review is a little on the long side. Reason 1: The shower doors in our cabin were extremely stiff and difficult to open and close, meaning that getting into the shower was a daily ordeal. Reason 2: Near the end of our stay, we had serious issues with the plumbing in our cabin, some results of this being a blocked toilet, a completely unusable shower with sewage spilling out of the plug (so dysfunctional and unsafe that the staff told us to use the shower in the empty cabin next door), and a blocked toilet, also resulting in us needing to use the toilet next door. Reason 3: The evening we arrived, the gas was virtually almost empty and therefore we were immediately required to request a refill. However, this didn't take long and the problem was resolved quickly and efficiently, but it was still an inconvenience. Reason 4: When we arrived, we noticed that we had the wrong number of bedsheets and towels for the number of us that were staying in the cabin, and the number of beds. I don't mean to sound like a Victor Meldrew character but overall the service we received during our stay wasn't anything worth recommending. On the other hand, the cabin was very pleasant and homely, and the surroundings peaceful and inviting, if you exclude the L'Oreal factory on the way in that gives the impression you're driving into a high-security sewage works. Anyway, that's nothing we can blame Huttopia for. Some upsides of our stay was the enjoyable walk around the lake in the forest, and the provided volleyball court and sports equipment such as tennis rackets and, well, volleyballs. TLDR: During our stay, we encountered several problems such as plumbing issues, faulty shower doors and the wrong amount of certain essential items, which all proved as irritating inconveniences. The few upsides were the lovely forest scenery, the provided volleyball court, the short, simple walk around the lake and the overall comfort the cabin provided. I would recommend Huttopia Rambouillet only to those who are prepared to deal with quite a few inconveniences, a decent serving of stress as a result, and some nice scenery and a comfortable cabin to make it bearable and perhaps even enjoyable. Perhaps we just had bad luck, but I'm not going to lie - Huttopia Rambouillet isn't the best of its kind."
