North Star Cottage

"Accommodation was great - amazing location, nice small cottage where we found everything we needed. HOWEVER the check-in process was really terrible experience. We called to the phone number that we found on the hotel website - it means we followed the check-in process as it stated in confirmation email. Lady told us code that we had to use to get into cottage but we could not understood precisely the number. So we asked her to repeat slowly. She told us she can’t repeat it and hang up the phone. After that we couldn’t call her back - she probably block my number so my friend tried to call her, she blocked also her phone number. So we called her through Trip - she picked up and after we told her we want to check in I to North Star cottage she again hang up. So my friend went to the cottage door and tried combinations of number to unlock the door - otherwise we wouldn’t sleep in the cottage this night. Really terrible experience and unprofessional behaviour of staff. Definitely not recommending."

The location is not far from Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss and Vik Black Beach. You can choose here for these three attractions. The facilities in the house are very new, and the heating is turned on in advance. Icelanders really don't know how to promote it. A good house looks like a rough house in photos. The housekeeper didn't speak English well, but he still communicated clearly. Other comments are helpful. To get the password, you can keep calling until they answer the phone. If that doesn't work, you can try your luck on the spot. You will see the women cleaning up the house working nearby."
