"Rats in our room at Blue Ocean The Fern Resort & Spa Ganpatipule, Series by Marriott !! We have stayed at Fern properties at various locations however our stay at Blue Ocean The Fern Resort & Spa Ganpatipule, Series by Marriott has been a nightmare. We have checked - in on 11th April and our stay is for 2 days. On day one while we were about to wind up we were shocked to see a rat roaming around in our room. This is a hygeine issue which I am going to report to FDA authorities. Don't know what the rats had done to our snacks and eatables which we  had left in our room. We had to throw away all of it. The easiest option for the staff was to change our room and give us an alternate room which was equally pathetic. The fridge doesn't cool and the force of water to the shower is like a drip. But the staff has immediate explanation that the water tank is just over head and hence the force is like what it is on the first floor and fridge is for keeping chocolates which was laughable!! Also, since washroom locks don't work you have to shout when you in for a shower. Day 2 and here we go.. we left the place at 11am by putting up a board to make up the room. But as expected the room was not  cleaned and we had to just lay around in a messed up place!! Overall our stay was with the fear or rats and utter mismanagement of basic services and with a hope that our stay here ends at the earliest. Don't know how Marriott is tied up here since this is not where near Marriott standards and spoiling the brand here!!"

"Had a wonderful stay at The Fern, Dapoli ✨ The property is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Overall, it was a great experience with courteous staff and a peaceful vibe. One area for improvement would be the food service, which could be better in terms of variety and speed. Still, a lovely place to unwind—would definitely recommend "

"Please avoid this resort. It is not a resort but an insectarium (Insect zoo). There was a live frog in the commode and spiders, red ants, big ants and couple of other insects in the room. We stayed for 2 days. Both days we had multiple insects visiting our room which forced us to change the room, which meant doing the checkin-checkout process 4 times. It was very painful. The staff offered us executive room on day 1 when we reported insects but asked us to vacate it next day, despite it being empty. Next day we had another issue (this time frog) so they offered the same executive room (which we vacated in the morning). The food too is way too pricy and quality is average. Staff too keeps poker face when complained and don’t have any empathy. Resort is located far from main beach and Ganpati temple. Overall overpriced resort with basic sanitation issues and overpriced food. We are offered some discount on food when I asked for refund but that’s it."
