"This was our fourth visit to this wonderful little hotel at the northern tip of Rebun Island. Our first was some 30 years ago when they just opened and had one building. Now they have three buildings for rooms and a bath house. On this small island one should not expect five star luxury rooms. But our room was large with two comfortable beds and a large bathroom as well. A highlight of any stay here is the food - the local seafood. Starting with generous portion of fresh uni. On any given night you might have crab, abalone or other local fish. The couple that opened the hotel take good care of their guests. It is also a great location for hiking the northern tip of the island - with the amazing costal views and wild flowers. The inn will pick you up at the ferry, so you don't need an expensive rental care, and if you are hiking you can use the local bus loop (although not that frequent) My wife (Japanese) and I are big fans of Rebun and this hotel."

"Rebun Shiri is an excellent budget-friendly ryokan on Rebun Island, offering a comfortable stay in a convenient location just 5–10 minutes on foot from Kafuka Port. The property is surrounded by useful amenities, including a supermarket and several restaurants, making it easy to find food and supplies during your stay. Guests can choose between traditional Japanese-style tatami rooms with futons or Western-style twin rooms, depending on their preference. The facilities are well maintained, with shared bathrooms and washbasins separated from the guest rooms. On the first floor, there is a public bath (sento) with separate areas for men and women, providing a relaxing way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Complimentary yukata are also available for guests to wear during their stay. What truly stands out is the warm hospitality of the staff, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Considering the high accommodation prices often found on Rebun Island, this ryokan offers outstanding value for money. As a bonus, you may even spot seagulls gathering on the rooftop in the morning, creating a charming and memorable island atmosphere. Overall, an easy 5-star stay for anyone looking for affordable, comfortable, and authentic accommodation on Rebun Island."
