Hotel Grotticelle
"We spent 5 nights in he hotel, the accommodation was excellent. The rooms was cleaned and towels were changed daily. I appreciate the pleasant attitude of the staff. We had accommodation wiht breakfast, we also used the bar. The breakfast had a large slection and great coffee. The beach is close, we did not need to use the shuttle to the beachthat the hotel offers."
Hotel Umberto
"Pretty good"
Tonicello Hotel Resort & Spa
"Very disappointed the amenities in the room, very basic soap and shampoo, no shower gel or body lotion , no mini bar selection, no do not disturb sign"
Borgo di Santa Barbara
"The room and bathroom were a bit small, with no room for a second bedside table. However, the small balcony was pleasant, as was the on-site restaurant."
La Bussola Hotel Calabria
"We had a great time in this hotel. The rooms are exactly what you would expect at the price point. Everything else is one level above the value you pay for. - Super friendly and helpful staff and management - Welcome drink, fruits and bag service - All day pool service with affordable pricing (next level of convenience would be to be able to order via app from the pool area) - Shuttle service to the areas best beach that runs on the minute in-time (highly recommended due to the parking situation) Therefore I can highly recommend to stay in this hotel. If it fits your budget, you will receive over value."
Hotel Baia del Capo
"I recently finished my August vacation with my husband and a couple of friends. The property is beautiful, located in a well-kept and lush setting. The rooms are always clean and tidy, and the towels are changed daily. The staff is wonderful, always kind and helpful. I thank Gianluca, who is friendly and always available for the shuttle service and is always ready to deal with any unexpected problems. I also thank the talented musician who entertained us during the evenings. Thanks also to Teresa and the owner, Rosa. All the staff, always attentive to the food service: Facundo and Vanessa, always smiling and kind. A wonderful vacation! P.S.: a beautiful sea, Giannina."
Hotel Ipomea Club
"Overall good value for money, you can choose between swimming pool and the beach (although not big one). Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is helpful and friendly. At walking distance you have 3 restaurants where you can eat, we didn't try the hotel restaurant. Tropea is 30 distance, easy to reach by card"
Capovaticano Resort Thalasso Spa
"What a pitty that a place called spa and ressort accepts so big griuos that do not allow the guests to rest and relax. A shame that you pay what you pay looking for a rest and you find a geoup of more than 40 people shauting in the pool"
Tenuta Tropeano
"My boyfriend Kristofer and I stayed for a week at Tenuta Tropeano and we loved it! Beautiful hotel including the rooms, reception, pool area and garden. Safe parking space for your car. The owner Angelo, his family and the other staff were fantastic. Great service, communication, and cleaning. Angelo gave a high level of service all the hours of the day he was there, he recommended restaurants and places to visit, and with his warmth he made us feel so appreciated as guests. We already miss starting our mornings at Tenuta with their breakfast and incredible view. We recommend!"

"Teresa at the pool bar / mini market made excellent cappuccino with beautiful latte art! We appreciate her kindness and professionalism!"
Hotel Marinella - Private Free Parking - Grotticelle Beach 200 m
"Vacation in this hotel in the name of relaxation. Quality food, friendly staff that makes you feel at home, always ready to satisfy every need. Perfect location with convenient shuttle service to the beach. It has parking so you can leave your car without worries. Recommended!!"
Villaggio Athragon
"The resort has enormous potential, but unfortunately it's not fully exploited. The location is enviable, right on a beautiful stretch of beach with a view of Stromboli and a breathtaking sunset. But the rooms are really too run-down... The apartment we were assigned had no air conditioning (is it possible to have a hotel in Calabria without air conditioning in 2023?), but that wasn't even the worst of the flaws... Kitchen doors all crooked, furniture in the house destroyed by wear and tear, a tiny bedroom, raised floors with a bathroom door that wouldn't open properly, window shutters that weren't aligned and wouldn't close, an outdoor kitchen that was all rusty... Really too shabby for the price we paid. After a few days, we had our accommodations changed. The staff were kind and helpful, but there was little they could do about the obvious limitations of the facility. Our second accommodation was definitely better, although an outdoor kitchen in general isn't a good idea because it gets too worn out. The beach was very beautiful, but the service was a bit chaotic. In theory, the umbrella is assigned on the first day, but evidently not everyone was notified, and every morning there was a waltz of umbrellas with people taking up spots at random and then having to move. The restaurant has a stunning view, but honestly, the two times we ate, it was nothing special... In conclusion, the area is definitely worth it, especially because Capo Vaticano is a starting point for numerous excursions, but I don't recommend the property."
Baia del Godano Resort & Spa
"The resort is extremely well maintained and clean. However if you got to breakfast later say 9am the food was depleted. The staff were nice but a matter of fact and some of the hotel policies like you must wear a swimming cap were ignored by all of the other guests. The pool was amazing and clean and couldn’t fault it at all. The food at dinner time was good but inconsistent in serving sizes particularly if you ordered the same thing the following day. I think this is a nice resort but expensive for what you get. The last thing I would say is that the entrance to the beach is not easy given that there are huge boulders in place and we found that we would walk through other hotel properties when we wanted a dip."
Residence Hotel Felix
"My family and I stayed in mid-July. The experience wasn't the best. They put us in a 40-square-meter apartment on the second floor without an elevator. I had to carry four people's suitcases up four flights of stairs in 30-degree heat, even inside the residence. The air conditioning is inadequate, only cooling the dining area. Entertainment is nonexistent. The bar is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., after which it becomes a dead end. The only positive note is the kindness of the staff, who welcomed us very warmly."
Villaggio Baia d'Ercole
"Tidy, welcoming, very clean village, beautiful location on the sea with panoramic views. Friendly staff. Good breakfast, entertainment, beach with sunbeds and shower. Poor bar with always sulking staff."
Luzia Agriresort - Piscina Panoramica e Vista Mare a Capo Vaticano
Baia Del Sole Resort
"This summer we chose Calabria and this resort directly on the sea. They slept in bungalows very close to the beach, during the last evenings due to sea storms they slept lulled by the roar of the sea: splendid! Super friendly and kind staff, especially reception, room attendants and cleaners. Well-kept garden with lots of greenery, banana trees, bougainvillea... Two notes: the exaggerated prices of the aperitifs, it is not possible to charge guests for a bergamot spritz (half a glass of ice) 12 euros accompanied by 4 chips in total and the request of 30 euros per day to enjoy the first row of umbrellas (when the price includes sunbed service but from the second row onwards). Excellent and varied breakfast, exceptional location with convenient parking."
Agriresidence Ninea
Tuisuneo la Conchiglia - Adults Only
"Resort is goated. Food: pizza and pasta are incredible, if you get a fresh slice then it’s even better. Staff are lovely very welcoming and we love our room, lucky enough to get a little bungalow house. Overall this is a beauty of a find, don’t listen to the dumb bad reviews."
Capovaticano Luxury Rooms
"We spent five nice days at Capovaticano Luxery Rooms. It's a great place to base yourself for trips around the region. The apartments themselves are modern, very well-maintained, and located in a quiet neighborhood. The well-maintained grounds (garden) and large terrace next to the room are perfect for relaxation. The breakfast buffet and freshly prepared meals were very good. Finally, we have only positive comments about the hosts. They were very kind and helpful in organizing our stay and providing information about the region. We highly recommend them. Magda and Janusz"
Villaggio Il Gabbiano
"Stunning views, beautiful location, incredible beach with crystal clear water, great food, amazing pool... and so much more to rave about. A great deal of thought has gone into setting up this hotel, designed to make your stay magical. Our kids *loved* this place and so did my husband and I. Couldn't recommend it more. Visit, enjoy!"
Villaggio Pineta Petto Bianco
"A rental car is required, delivery to the hotel. Michaele is super friendly and helps you with procedures and advice. It is possible to go to Sicily for the day. The meals are well designed and balanced"
Midenza Seaside & Nature Retreat
"Wonderful small resort with incredibly friendly staff, excellent food( 4 choices at 4/5 walks and fantastic pool and beach area, which you can always reach with the help of an e-golf cart to request, if one of the footsteps is too tight. There are only minimal improvement proposals: please provide acetic for dinner also in bottles and not in mini plastic bags that are still badly opened :) Olive oil is already in bottles on the table. And unfortunately no regional cheese / sandwich at breakfast buffet. But this is really just a little bit of criticism. To relax on the glass-clear sea with its own beach area/ bed, sun protection and shower/wc and small excursions to Tropea, Capo Vaticano and Pizzo, as well as boat trips to the liparish islands. Forget the amazing sunset with the powerboli in the silhouette. Just a dream of this resort. We're coming back !"
