"The hotel is about ten kilometers from the airport, but only a 2-minute walk from the pier, making it very convenient.
I was very satisfied with the hotel service. Japanese people are very clean, so the hotel was very clean. Make sure to request daily room cleaning upon check-in, otherwise, unlike hotels in China, they won't clean the room. I booked a twin room. When booking a hotel in Japan, be careful not to book a room with a double bed, and also pay attention to the width of the bed. Some rooms are labeled as having a double bed, but the bed is only 1.2 meters wide—how can two people sleep in that?
The room I booked could have an extra bed; part of the room was tatami mats that could sleep multiple people.
Because it was the off-season, the hotel wasn't crowded, so the onsen (hot spring) was less crowded, allowing me to enjoy it to my heart's content. Dinner was plentiful, with different dishes every day, while breakfast was average."
"Homestay category General hygiene, short hair and small spoils on the bed, expectations are not high
No meals, a little inconvenient
But... the host’s service is very enthusiastic. He drove us to the supermarket to buy dinner and arranged a car to the dock in the morning.
It would be great if hygiene can be improved
Thanks again to the owner for his warm service arrangement"
"Service is excellent, all the staff are very friendly. Buffet breakfast and dinner is excellent, drinks are plentyful and free during dinner. However, the hot water for showers at night is not hot at all, could be because many guests doing their showering at the same time. But this shouldn't be an excuse for the hotel as it should be able to have hot water at all times."
"I came to Liyi Island to travel and chose this one. There are not many choices on the island. The price is not cheap, but I don’t want to live in some homestays. There is no separate bathroom. This is a formal hotel. The room is very spacious and the view of the room is good. There are also free hot springs to soak. But you have to pay a tax of about 600 yen. If you walk from Lizhang Port, it takes 15 minutes. There are convenience stores around the hotel. The hotel provides free bicycle rental. It is very convenient to go around. There is also a free bus to the airport or port. It is very intimate. We set Subo, and the meal will not be evaluated."
"This time, I stayed at Hotel Rishiri for the first time when I came to sightseeing in Rishiri Island. The hotel is a bit old, but the hot springs were very good with gold hot water.
There was also a sauna, and it was about 20 minutes by car from the ferry stop, and there was no inconvenience such as a dining room and convenience store nearby.
It was very good to be able to hear the story about Rishiri Island for 30 minutes from 20 o'clock at night.
One of the things I learned was that there are no bears on Rishiri Island and Rebun Island, so you can track the mountains with peace of mind.
I would like to come back to Rishiri Island again.
The exquisite sea urchin ends on September 25th, so I want to come to eat it during the summer."
"Good location that is close to the ferry terminal. This is important because the bus terminal is also there if you want to travel to other parts of the island. Suggest to request for a sea view room (the breeze is nice and the view of the mountain in the background as well is superb)
The meals were one of the best I had during my trip (which included onsen hotels). For dinner, it was Japanese-style, set up very nicely by the time I arrived for dinner. The ingredients were fresh with great variety and the service was great (even though the menu is there in English, the waitresses still try to point them out to you, as some are not as obvious). I requested for an earlier [to start at 5:45am instead of 6:00am] breakfast due to my itinerary, and they were accommodating. The breakfast was also Japanese-style. It was good, but the dinner was just better.
