"The hotel itself did not strike me as exceptional. The room I was in, although with a view to the golf course, looks a bit dated, and the air extractor in the bathroom was too noisy. The staff, however, was very welcoming. They speak both English and French quite fluently. The best feature is the restaurant, the food is just excellent (tried some restaurants in Bujumbura and none really compares)."

"Great spot for the view. The menu is a bit pricey for pretty standard things. There are good craft shops where you can spend some time rummaging through the colourful and eclectic goodies. The staff were welcoming and helpful - nice spot for a drink and snack."

He has thought of everything to ensure his guests have everything they need for their comfort and safety. Whether traveling alone, as a couple, or with family, Goodlife Residence is the perfect place to stay in Bujumbura!"

Burundi Palace Boutique Hotel

"I did not stay at the hotel, but went for diner with my wife, for her Bday. I heard so much about it and but was not really impressed. I ordered a BP cheese burger, and on arrival the fries were cold and not crispy. the burger was decent, but I had better in Bujumbura for way less money. My wife had the local Sangala, and that was cooked to perfection. Service initially was good, but they forgot to order the desert, so we waited for 20 min in vain, for a Tiramisu....It is expensive for the quality you receive."

"I stayed at Maratha hotel for six nights. The staff at the front desk were friendly and provided an efficient check in. The room was really lovely with good view. The linens on the bed were very comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent and most of the time they ordered a taxi to take me around. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone staying in the Bujumbura."

"I had at least $1,000 stolen from my hotel room by the cleaning staff. They steal your dollars and then exchange them for counterfeit money to put back in your pocket. 🌝🌝🌝 The hotel was nice, but the behavior of some hotel staff was unacceptable. Oh well, consider it a lesson learned. I left my money in the room, giving them the opportunity."

"The service was just average. It had rained the staircase and balcony was wet, there was a TV but not working, Towels were not clean. There’s a leaking water from the WC. So I did not enjoy for sure. Finally the Generator was switched off no hot showers"
