"We went there for dinner on January 22, 2026. It did not meet the standard we expected. The fried potatoes were not hot. The fat, oil, or bacon they were fried in tasted rancid and completely overpowered the overall flavor. My son and I both had the veal schnitzel, and we both experienced the same issue. I already had to use the restroom while we were still there. Given the very good reputation that the Happinger Hof has, this should not happen. It was not our first visit during one of our trips to Germany."

"I stopped by here on my way to Innsbruck, and the location was fantastic. It's right next to the train station. The air conditioning worked well, and I was satisfied with the price. There are many trains to Munich, and it took about an hour to get to Innsbruck. I spent 5-6 hours exploring Munich, and even though I came back in the evening, the area near the station was safe and pleasant."

"We received very good service from the friendly staff and our room was excellent, spacious with a cozy feel to it. The building it self is amazing and gives a wonderful medieval feel, but with all the modern technology. The restaurant, Il Convento, was a very good experience. The service was excellent and the Italian food was amazing, we can only recommend enjoying a meal there in the superb setting. The breakfast was also a good experience. We will definitely use this place for our frequent trips between Italy and Denmark."

"It is a very clean hotel with a great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Bed was very comfortable. Only downside of it was the limited free parking place. There was a paid parking place right next to it so ıt was not a big problem."

"Location is great but make sure to ask if there is still construction outside, because we didn’t know and it was VERY LOUD. there is NO AC and hot in the room, sleeping with window open was an issue when construction starts early morning. the blowdryer didn’t work, staff didn’t have replacement but went out to buy some as a solution; we could get one against a 20e deposit. overall good stay but if i had known about amenities and noise i would have booked Park Hotel next door."

"We stayed here one night in September 2025 in a Suite/ Apartment with 2 bedrooms (unfortunately with carpet), a living room, a fully equipped kitchen (including Nespresso machine) and a bathroom with shower, jacuzzi, 2 sinks and a separate toilet. Staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel has airconditioning and its own parking spaces. The beds are too soft for us but the shower and WiFi are excellent. Cleaning could be better: one trash can in the kitchen has not been emptied and one drawer in one of the bedrooms contained candies from previous guests."

"The Hotel San Gabriele is characterized by its special architecture. The hotel is modeled on a monastery. Something different from the usual standard hotels for travelers. You can park directly in front of the hotel (this can be a bit tight if the parking spaces at the front are full). The hotel is right next to a shopping center and not far from the highway. The rooms are good, although a bit cramped and small. The attached good Italian restaurant is right in the hotel, so we had dinner there. Breakfast is booked separately. This is OK, nothing special. Unfortunately, the room is a bit cramped."
