"We were very warmly welcomed and made to feel at home straight away. On a walk, our bags were already in our rooms which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the tea and coffee available in the lounge at any time. We were given a restaurant recommendation and this was great, a beautiful setting! Slept really well, no noise at all. Breakfast was lovely and there was an option to purchase food to take away for the day. Lovely place!"

"Very bad dinner. Breakfast was slightly better. Dinner rarely featured what was advertised on the menu board. One time it said Tafelspitz (boiled beef) – what did we get? Roast pork. Another time it said roast pork, but what did we get? Tafelspitz. The soups weren't the same as the menu either; instead of mushroom soup, for example, we had broccoli soup, or instead of bean soup, we had some unidentifiable soup. We complained about this several times! Then they should just get rid of the menu board altogether and call it a surprise menu, instead of whetting our appetites and then serving something completely different. The worst meal we had was potato salad with so-called homemade meatballs! I generally assume that the food you offer is homemade, or which catering service supplies you? We get meatballs with potato salad in our canteen for very little money. I found it outrageous to offer such basic food for so much money. Furthermore, the selection of sausages and cheeses was partially inedible, as it appeared to have been sitting on the platter for days. The cheese was curled and warped. The sausage was also warped and warped. The rice was dried out and inedible. It was simply hard! Rice cannot be served uncovered; it needs a lid, otherwise it dries out. We were utterly disappointed with the food. If you want to know how good food should be, just take a look at the AJA Hotel Werfenweng, because their kitchen is perfect. We could complain all we wanted at your Ruhpolding hotel. Absolutely nothing changed, and we weren't the only ones who complained about the food. I even took plenty of photos of what you serve your guests. It's a shame that your staff apparently can't read and categorize, because where there was rice, there was spinach written above it. The horseradish sauce wasn't next to the boiled beef but next to the fish, and so on. ...... too bad, because otherwise it's a very nice hotel that's worth seeing."

"The Steinbach Hotel is a lovely place with old world charm. Our room was located at the back of the hotel with Mountain Views. There was a large bedroom and a lovely sitting room with two couches and a flat screen TV. The bathroom had double sinks, a stand up shower and heated tile floors. Everything was very clean. We also had a private outdoor patio. Daily breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the dinner buffet one evening. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby has a fireplace and seating to relax with a coffee or cocktail. We arrived to Ruhpolding by train and the hotel provided transportation from the station. We stayed 6 enjoyable nights. I highly recommend the Steinbach Hotel."
