"I did not get the room I booked (king suite with sofa bed). There wasn’t much privacy as we were placed above the lobby, any time shades were open for sunlight everyone arriving can peer in. When we arrived, our room was 50 degrees and our baby was freezing we had to co sleep for the first time ever (and hopefully last) to keep her warm. It took almost 24 hrs for heat to kick in. Their excuse was it’s never cold in Florida but that’s not true, I have lived in Florida before and I always kept a space heater for those less common but expected cold nights in the winter. I paid over $500 a night for this."

"Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Easy walk down to the beach and appreciated the cart, chairs and beach towels to take with us. We hung out on the screend in patio a lot! The location was great and easy to get to restaurants and attractions from there. Highly recommend!!!"

"This was a time share exchange and we were very pleased. Great location with miles of beach just outside. Well maintained units and we were fortunate to have a gulf view. Well applianced,large 2 BR unit. No structured activities, restaurants or salespeople to deal with. Outdoor WARM pool and large hot tub - the only things between our room and the Gulf! Eric and staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. A truly relaxing location!!!!!!"

"We have been staying at Seahorse Cottages for about 15 years. We were worried about how they would fare after Ian, with so much devastation to Sanibel. Well, they are not only reopened but better than ever. While much of the island is still in recovery, Seahorse looks like nothing happened, except for the improvements. Most of the exterior features are new, including new decks and a common pergola, and the insides have all been updated. For singles or couples looking for a quiet getaway on the peaceful end of Sanibel, Seahorse is your place. Everything you need is included at no extra charge. And the manager, Shauna, is simply the best. We already booked our stay for next year. "

"Trip Advisor needs to completely update their website for Lighthouse Resort Sanibel. The property has been completely renovated right down to the studs since Hurricane Ian (Sept 28, 2022) hit Fort Myers and Sanibel Island. The resort has either 2 bedroom plus den (King, twins, pull-out couch/queen) or 3 bedroom (king, queen, twins) condos, either choice is a very large 1800 square feet. Each unit can accommodate 6 guests. The kitchens are fully equipped with new everything, including a fridge with water and ice maker. Each unit has a washer and dryer. Every condo has 2 large balconies and a screened in lanai for eating. Ground floor units have walkouts from living room, master bedroom, and lanai. The decorating is beautiful. The property has all new pool, hot tub, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, and landscaping. The property has 3 gas grills for barbecuing and a covered area with 3 picnic tables for dining. The property sits directly on San Carlos Bay beachside and you can walk directly around the beach to see the Lighthouse and continue walking on Lighthouse beach for miles."
