"A very special place tucked away in the hills above Santana and Sao Jorge. 9 rooms of various sizes in a hilltop location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Theresa and housekeeper/cook Anna make this a very delightful environment it’s good food and clean comfortable rooms. There is a pool and a bar (that was not open during our stay, but drinks could be supplied with dinner). A restful stay and a place suitable for exploring this part of the north coast of Madeira."

"Outdated hotel, I was assigned a room on the ground floor and it was extremely mouldy - there was black mould in the bathroom, and all the wooden furniture smelled rotten, nothing was provided except two bathing towels, the breakfast was terrible,e and only has a two-hour window so not ideal for hikers."

"Super clean and nice room! Staff is 🔝! The lady was super friendly and we felt welcome in the hotel. Good place to leave your heavy backpack before hiking to pico arriero. Drying clothes is an extra service. The BBQ on the menu is top!! Please note that the kitchen closes at 7:00pm."
