"The hotel is in a great location with the railway station opposite and the main town only a 10 minute walk away. There is parking on site but only for about 2 or 3 cars so best to book in advance, it costs 15 euros. All of the staff were helpful and check in was fast. The rooms were of a good size for a family of 3, it was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. The bar is reasonable prices. We have booked to return for a night to break our journey up on the way back through France. "

"The primary function of a hotel is to offer quality bedding to enable good sleep. Here, this is not the case. The mattresses in our room were so hollow that we slept badly. Add to this very thick and firm pillows. The room is dated, as is the bathroom. The price of €85 is too high for a hotel in need of renovation whose mattresses need to be changed!!"

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful Chateau recently and it was absolutely magnificent. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was out of this world, huge in size with both a bath and shower. The room was beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy on what was a very cold January day! The grounds are magnificent and given its location, it is incredibly quiet and charming. The staff were superb - Charlain who checked us in spoke English beautifully and was ever so helpful, organising a bottle of champagne and a platter of wonderful meats and cheese for dinner. Madame Gaetane Durand, the owner of the chateau was wonderful and cooked us a delicious breakfast early the next morning before we left. She was truly delightful and she and her team have created an absolutely beautiful haven in Le Mans. We did only stay the one night but we look forward to returning and I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel, a real gem."

"I have stayed at this hotel before when it was under different ownership. It is an ideal stopover when travelling to or from Caen to the south of France. The owner was helpful and friendly. Our room was fairly basic but spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner the night before. Both represented very good value."
