"Oh boy... Where to begin. Staff seemed overwhelmed and frazzled. The room was outrageously overpriced for area and amenities. Bar/restaurant closed, no ice maker on floor, elevator in poor condition (dirty, doors scratched), common areas and stairwells have not been cleaned in ages, overall musty smell throughout, keys deactivated after first night, TV was hung crooked in room, plank flooring was shifting and lifting, toiletries were sample sized and the bare minimum towels were provided, there was an auxiliary air conditioning unit (portable) that was not properly vented out the window and just dangled, everything seemed really haphazard and bleak. Besides the overall neglect and disrepair our bathroom was not cleaned properly prior to arrival and we had to use wipes to clean our toilet seat and wipe hair out of the sink. The bed was comfortable but for the price of almost $250/nt I expected much more than this. I'm sorry to leave this review but it just seems like the new owners are in over their heads."

Barrister's Bed & Breakfast ★★★

"My husband and I have stayed at quite a number of B&Bs by now and we agree that Barrister's is one of the best. The reasons why: - Good communication prior to check-in. - A discussion with me upon check-in about my food limitations. I felt confident that I would be able to eat breakfast. - A fridge (with freezer) in the hall for our use and a private mini-fridge in our room (The Grandmothers) - A very comfortable bed. - A quiet house. We did not hear much noise from other people staying there. (And if there was road noise, I didn't notice because I tune it out.) - A quiet personal A/C in our room. - A bathroom with both jetted tub and stand-alone shower. - A three-course breakfast with delicious food. See my pictures. (I forgot to take a pic of the fruit on day 1.) - Interesting anecdotes from Diane as she served breakfast. Yet, neither host held us captive if we wanted to leave. (There were 8 of us eating breakfast together.) - Great location. We could and did walk to downtown Seneca Falls. - Friendly hosts who respected our privacy. (They won't enter your room unless you ask them to.) I'm sure there is more. Those are the things that mattered to us. I will point out a drawback for some people: you have to be able to climb stairs. There are stairs to the front porch and more stairs to all the rooms. I don't know if we will ever find ourselves in Seneca Falls again, but I highly recommend this B&B!"
