"Oh boy... Where to begin. Staff seemed overwhelmed and frazzled. The room was outrageously overpriced for area and amenities. Bar/restaurant closed, no ice maker on floor, elevator in poor condition (dirty, doors scratched), common areas and stairwells have not been cleaned in ages, overall musty smell throughout, keys deactivated after first night, TV was hung crooked in room, plank flooring was shifting and lifting, toiletries were sample sized and the bare minimum towels were provided, there was an auxiliary air conditioning unit (portable) that was not properly vented out the window and just dangled, everything seemed really haphazard and bleak. Besides the overall neglect and disrepair our bathroom was not cleaned properly prior to arrival and we had to use wipes to clean our toilet seat and wipe hair out of the sink. The bed was comfortable but for the price of almost $250/nt I expected much more than this. I'm sorry to leave this review but it just seems like the new owners are in over their heads."

"Barristers is a charming B & B run by the loveliest couple. Ken & Diane welcome you warmly & spoil you with fabulous breakfasts. They know so much about the area & have many interesting stories to share. The house, built in 1860, is beautifully appointed & very well maintained. You can walk to almost everything! We absolutely loved our stay at Barristers in a bucolic neighborhood steeped in history. We believe you will, too!"
