Holiday Inn TRNAVA by IHG ★★★★

"My love and I spent two days in Trnava, before the great and phenomenal concert of rock legends AC/DC. We didn't get accommodation in Bratislava in time for the concert, so we jumped to the nearby Trnava. The hotel was reasonably good for us. The hotel itself is located in a nice part of Trnava, close to the promenade and the center. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The minus is the high price of breakfast, so we didn't have breakfast. We ate outside the hotel. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, but there was a big stain on the ceiling in the room, and the door of the bathroom was damaged, as if it had been soaked in water for a long time, so it had shriveled in parts. It was a little too cold in the room, since the air conditioner was set to a lower temperature, and it could not be adjusted. We tried, but the air conditioner kept returning to the already set temperature. Things like that shouldn't happen at the Holliday Inn. The service at the reception was good, the staff was polite. All in all, the hotel is not bad, but there are parts that could be improved."

"A lovely high quality hotel that is immaculately clean, tidy and delivers good accommodation and excellent food. The staff are delightful. My room 208 was quite big bathroom was excellent out of TV mini safe mini bar and two twin beds. Probably my only advice would be to provide better pillows which are more fuller so you’re not lying flat and also the air-conditioning was locked to a minimum 22° which was too warm and I couldn’t override it . I open the window to get some cool air in overall very good hotel recommended"

"Unpretentious hotel, clean, furnishings in need of updating, breakfast that could be improved. The room was equipped with all comforts, even if very basic! I also had dinner at the hotel: the menu is rich but the standard is Slovakian. For a single night, it's not bad."

"Location great. Atmosphere not as welcoming as I would expect. Room was nice with a lovely view. Cleaning not done for my room despite a basic cleaning is guaranteed. Cleaners asking me when Im departing the hotels stay so they can clean the room. Ignored at the dinner on all occasions. Breakfast was better but lack professionalism. Food is not up to 5 star, choice is limited. Facilities such as spa is nice but fitness not wheelchair friendly and easy to access. One staff even spoke to me in English when I am slovakian and didnt switch to slovak even when I spoke to him in Slovak. I think customer service needs more work and curtesy is a must."

"Great service, even the fallen snow was removed from our car and the road to it. Free access to the welness & fitnes was also very welcome after a long yourney in bad weather. Because we had a limited time for diner also that was very fine solved. The breakfast was also a pleasure to make use of! In one word the sre great!"
